Inulin is a great gluten free product you can add to baking products or fruit smoothies. I try to keep my sugar intake and glycemic index low and am always looking for new items to add to my gluten free breads and cookies. I like the taste of this fine powder and it helps keep you regular, too! This product and "Organic Zero" from Wholesome Sweeteners are my favorites.

I've learned how important it is to have a healthy gut. 80% of the immune system is in the gut and healthy flora is key. So much of what we do kills the good bacteria....our 'soldiers'. Putting the good bacteria in is important and this Inulin has a pleasant taste....a sugar replacement even. The price was a good one.

I think this product will work depending on the kind of metabolism you have. It works great on my 9 year old daughter, but I get cramps or gas or both!. I found that taking it before bedtime works better for me but my daughter can take it at anytime with no consequences. We both have a slow bowel system, this helps a bit.
