3.0 out of 5 stars Big Inuyasha Fan....
I'm a big Inuyasha fan, so of course I wanted to add this to my colletion. I ordered this one used, along with a few others... Shipping took almost 3 weeks, the case was shattered, it's amazing that the disc wasn't damaged along with it. The disc plays well enough, so I guess my shipping complaint isn't really that important. I just expected better, having previously...

4.0 out of 5 stars Trouble with the Band of Seven continues..., September 22, 2008
This review is from: Inuyasha, Vol. 37 - Two Souls, One Body (DVD)
Having watched the first four seasons of this series, the introduction of the Band of Seven in season five added an interesting storyline, something different from the usual demon battles.

In this volume, the story the Band of Seven continues. There's a lot going on here, starting with the battle between good/evil going on inside Suikotsu as he fights InuYasha. We learn more about the circumstances behind their execution and finally meet their ruthless and powerful leader, Bankotsu. Apart from the fight sequences with the band of Seven, Kagome is once again hurt by InuYasha's inability to let go of Kikyo, despite the fact that she had insisted on helping her.

In some ways this volume is more of the same--InuYasha is the target of someone's attack and when it comes to Kikyo, he's still got one foot in the past. That said, it is entertaining, and if you're following the series from start to finish, it is a must-watch. Much is left unresolved in this volume, however it is another piece of the puzzle, and necessary to understand the whole story.
