5.0 out of 5 stars REAL episodes are..., June 24, 2004
This review is from: Inuyasha - The Way to Wisdom (Vol. 19) (DVD)
I did a LOT of research. Found out from the actual distributor that the episodes on this DVD are:

Ep. 55 Stone Flower and Shippo's First Love

Ep. 56 Temptress in the Mist

Ep. 57 Fateful Night in Togenkyo, part 1

Everone else is a little confused. No wonder! The don't list the episodes in the description OR on the box front anymore. Hope this helps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inuyasha Volume 19 Way to Wisdom, April 6, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Inuyasha - The Way to Wisdom (Vol. 19) (DVD)
This volume contains episodes 54-56. Episode 54 is called Tetsusaiga's Ultimate attack, Bakuryuuha, which is about Inuyasha is about to get killed by Ryuukotsusei with his mighty ball of youki until Inuyasha aims the Tetsusaiga at it and without realizing it, he activates Bakuryuuha, tetsusaiga's ultimate attack. Episode 55 is called Flower Stones and Shippo's First Love, which is about Shippo meets a girl named Satsuki and saves her from a bunch of boys beating her up. Episode 56 is called The Lure of Beauty Over the Fogs, which is about Miroku goes to the mountains alone because he hears the youkai is beautiful. Sango went with Miroku, and then Kagome finds out that Sango has a crush on Miroku.
Thanks! And I'm not really sure about some stuff on the episodes but most of it is true... See ya!

5.0 out of 5 stars ^_^X, May 22, 2004
This review is from: Inuyasha - The Way to Wisdom (Vol. 19) (DVD)
I loved this dvd! Starts off with Fateful Night In Togenkyo, Part 1, Fateful Night In Togenkyo, Part 2, then Beautiful Sister Apprentices. In the first episode Inuyasha goes after a sage (called the peach man in the manga, its really out of order!)and turns into a human! Then in the second episode it finishes with that part (hehe, no spoilers...). Then in the third episode Sango meets two girls at the demon exterminator village and they ask her to teach her the demon-slaying arts. enjoy!!

This dvd is has to deal with episodes 55-57. Episode 55 "The Stone Flower and Shippo's First Love": Is about Shippo meeting a little girl who he falls in love with and protects her from some village boys. Her name is Satsuki and she is waiting for her brother to finally return to her from war, but what is really awaiting her will be a great suprise.... Episode 56 "Temptress in the Mist": Is about Miroku going off by himself to look for a demon with "Rare Beauty" who has apparently been stealing the villagers husbands. Sango will go after him and end up revealing some hidden feelings to Kagome......Episode 57 " Fateful Night in Togenkyo, Part One": Is the first of two episodes that has to deal with a giant who is trapping humans for their energy to make some special fruit. Inuyasha intercepts and tries to stop him but ends up getting shrunk and trapped in a pot. Miroku, Kagome, and Shippo get trapped inside the giants mini-garden. And worst of all Inuyasha turns to his human form...Can the gang escape???

5.0 out of 5 stars Fudal Fairytale or Tragic Romance, September 5, 2004
This review is from: Inuyasha - The Way to Wisdom (Vol. 19) (DVD)
5o years ago(keeping in mind that this happened 50 years in feudal Japan not modern day Japan)The half demon Inuyahsha was pinned to a tree by the beautiful priestess Kikyo who died later from her wounds after Inuyasha tried to steal the sacred jewel of the four souls. Kikyo's younger sister Kaede burned her body with the jewel so no other demons or half demons searching for power could get it and for hundreds of years the jewel and Inuyasha slept. Fast forward to modern day Japan Kagome is an average girl with every day girl problems that is until she falls into a well and is attacked by a giant centipede like demon who is later repelled by a strange light glowing inside of her. When Kagome comes out of the well she ends up in feudal Japan. Looking around she spies a strange boy with dog ears. Compelled to touch them she goes closer and realizes they are really his. Her curiosity gets the best of her and she removes the arrow which brings Inuyasha back to life and his only impulse is to question as to why kagome(who looks similar to kikyo)is wearing such strange clothing. Later on Kagome is attacked by the same centipede who tried to kill her before. Inuyasha sensing what it wants slays it only to go after Kagome herself. Despite all of these events Inuyasha continued to hang around Kagome to steal the jewel which was recently removed from it's housing in her body. However things became difficult when a crow ate the jewel and Kagome believed to be Kikyo's reincarnation hit it with an arrow shattering the jewel into pieces. Now they are on a journey to recover them all. However it seems that underneath all of this there has been a really powerful demon known as Naraku who's come out of the wood work and intends to take the jewel for himself. Along on their journey they meet Shippo a young fox demon whose father was killed,Miroku the lecherous monk who's family Naraku plagued with a strange hole in their hand that when uncovered sucks up any object in range and will eventually kill him not to mention he can't keep his hands off the female backside, and last but not least Sango the last of her family which was a highly trained group of demon slayers and her demon cat kilala who can change size. Will they succeed in their quest or perish trying? A good plot and interesting storyline make this a good anime not to mention a good end theme for season 1.

5.0 out of 5 stars LET OTHER STARS SHINE FOR A BIT, December 10, 2005
This review is from: Inuyasha - The Way to Wisdom (Vol. 19) (DVD)
Volume 19 of Inuyasha does something for the show that should have been done a long time ago. That is, bring some of the supporting characters back to the forefront as it used to do before sinking into Inuyasha and Kagome's on again- off again relationship. The last time anything like this was attempted was back around Volume 10 or so! In the first episode on this disk, Shippo is the star as he befriends and falls in love with a young homeless thief whose brother went off to become a samurai and never returned. In episode 2, things become more interesting as we begin to see a budding romance between Sango and Miroku, the man who usually lets his roaming hands do the talking. Unfortunately, this is a brief interlude before we get back to the usual demon-bashing shard seeking storyline...which isn't that bad.

The reason I enjoy this show so much is that just when you think one storyline is played out, a new element is added, or a supporting character steps up to give you a respite from the repetitive nature of the show. It's like the creators sense when something is getting old, and they remove an element for a time. Takahashi's characters are so rich that different characters can fill the starring role at any time. Even with all the comedy, the tenderness of Shippos tale and the subtlety of Sango and Miroku's romance really give this show an advantage over other anime. Classic series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great adventure!, October 6, 2005

I have 2 kids (7 & 9), who are mesmerized by this entire series. Although some adults may feel my kids are too young for this material (very gross sometimes!), they truly realize it is all make-believe, and the courage of the characters influences my own children in their everyday lives. It has especially helped my oldest child with her descriptive vocabulary (although my youngest has picked up on the 1 or 2 curse words used by the hero, Inu-Yasha!). This is another great triad of stories, and it's fun to see Shango and Muroku's relationship unfold.

InuYasha rocks and this DVD shows that there is more to the Tetsusaiga than the Wind Scar(the move Inuyasha learns one of the earlier episodes). One of the episodes also shows the conflict between InuYasha's dad and the imprisoned demon. This DVD rocks!!!
