When it first arrived, it had been crushed during shipment. It was very poorly packaged. And to be honest, the tubing on the base is not the best. I emailed the vendor. No answer. Finally I called the shipper. UPS picked it up and within weeks sent a replacement. This time it arrived without damage.
I bought this to use in my shower. The usual shower chairs are armless, backless and really uncomfortable. I need arms to hold on to when I stand. And I needed a chair with a back but the chairs that do have backs are at a 90 degree angle. I have a hard time sitting upright and I was looking for a chair with a bit of a recline. This one does. It also has a back like a directors chair. Plastic (ah not the best) fabric with some give, instead of hard plastic back. I took the wheels off, screwed in the plastic caps on the legs, took off the potty and snapped on the seat from another commode and I have a near perfect shower chair! A great find - even if I had to cannibalize my old commode to create it.

Packaged poorly.Chair arrived promtply as stated in other review, box damaged but chair in tact. Say that with tongue in cheek...mentions 4 brakes there are only 2. (inspector 18 needs remedial.)Person who uses this must be relatively thin to position properly and tall, due to seat to floor ratio. Not very stable as a commode, in fact given the lower bar unless person is very flexible and alert useless as a commode. Have not tried it in the shower as yet. Would advise not wasting your money!
