Luke Perry (Beau) and Rebecca Gayheart (Cassy) star in Robin Cook's story as two college friends who find themselves in a rush against time to save the world. After discovering an odd black rock in a parking lot, Beau develops severe flu-like symptoms which result in him feeling like he has never felt before... euphoric. Soon Cassy and Beau find that this strange virus is spreading at an alarming rate and not only does it make people hungry to experience the world but it is mutating them into an alien species! Their only hope is to reach a secret government germ warfare base that holds an antidote before the world is overrun by extraterrestrials and the portal to other worlds is opened.

I totally disagree with Joshua. I read the book & I own the movie & I liked both. It is a weird story. I like Robin Cook & I think this is one of his best books.

Invasion, a nice Sci-Fi movie based on Robin Cook's Novel of the same name. I like all of Robin Cook's works. He is a Medical Doctor, so he has the right background for his stories. This one is about an unlikely invasion of a "rock" that triggers a virus already in our bodies, placed there by an earlier invasion. Good story/movie. One of my favorites. Josie

When I first saw this movie I thought it was a little boring but it held my interest because of the bit of mystery it has, which is what held my interest. I also thought that the script was pretty good as well, it was well written and wasn't flowing with stupid clichés like other badly written films.
