In the broad musical genre that is Melodic/Post Hardcore, not many bands are able to gain status inside the tight knit hardcore genre without playing breakdown, gang vocal laden music. Joining the ranks of fellow Bridge 9 label mates who manage to break the melodic hardcore mold such as Crime in Stereo, Energy crafts a melodic and haunting debut full length. With nods to early AFI, Energy combines melody and hardcore velocity for a truly unforgettable debut album. I recommend this album to anyone who is a fan of truly well crafted melodic hardcore. From beginning to end it flows flawlessly.
