Still "the must" in teaching on European integration,
By
This review is from: Inventing Europe (Paperback)
Despite the time which passed since the book first appeared it is still the publication that is most valued by the students. In the style of historical sociology the book beautifully presents how in the course of time the idea of Europe has developed. Also, the readers can identify the factors, which have developed over the time, and now create problems and barriers for European integration. In effect of Delanty's analysis one gets, however, solid arguments for necessity and inevitability of further European integration. It is hard to find the book that would be more useful as a background reading for teaching on European integration.
