5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book for information about Patents, Copyrights, etc., February 3, 2006
I bought this book less than a week ago and it was so informative about the entire process of searching, obtaining, and even coming up with new ideas that I simply could not put it down. I highly recommend this book not only as a future reference to patent seekers but to anyone interested in the process or learning where to find what with respect to patents, copyrights, trademarks and much more. I have submitted a few patent applications and the knowledge in this book would have been extremely helpful in each of those submissions.

The information gathered in the Appendix alone makes the book worth the money. But seriously, the book is a must have for anyone wanting to submit patents or understand intellectual property.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Powerful GUIDE Book for Teaching All Ages How to Invent, January 30, 2005
I work with many Inventors in my daily job, and I have to say this book is one of a kind. The book discusses some of the most unique qualities of the minds of inventors, and some of the very extraordinary skills they are able to demonstrate. I have always wondered how these types of people think, but this book actually teaches me that anyone can think like this. It shows the reader how simple it is to create inventions, and then how to submit them once you have discovered them. What really struck me, as I was reading this, is that it caused me to discover an invention of my own, and then told me how to file it. It was almost as if the authors were guiding my thoughts as I read the chapters. I think this book is a great book and even has some techniques I will refer to over-and-over. As my own experiment, I even worked with my children on some of these techniques as we explored a new world of inventions in their own minds. I highly rate this book and suggest it to anyone curious about their own abilities to become an inventor. A GREAT book to read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique and Thought Provoking Book for Everyone, January 30, 2005
By
Ellison Walker (New York, NY USA) - See all my reviews
This book is striking directly at the core of "innovation." The Authors eloquently teach the reader how to think like an "inventor," leading them through a cognitive journey that brings their thinking to discover a level of personal innovation. The book not only teaches one how to invent, but the values of their thoughts, and how to manage these thought-deliverables as intellectual property. The book explains many levels of intellectual property, from patents to trademarks--and beyond. The book guides the reader to walk through an interesting case study, then to discover inventions on their own through this case study, which they can then file as patents. The Authors have done a truly outstanding job at managing their own innovation as they constructed this book. The book sets a precedence of how a true "Guide Book" should be written. This book not only teaches critical-skills for searching, strengthening thoughts towards valid patents, creating spawning teams for farming bulk patents in problem areas-but, also guides the reader in how to manage intellectual property. This book is a "must read," and one that is well worth the investment. I commend Fellenstein on this work, along with his co-authors-this is a "job well done."
