This review is from: How to Invest in Real Estate-Revsd (McGraw-Hill paperbacks) (Paperback)
Fantastically valuable. This is a neat little book, with a tremendous amount of real estate education in a small package.

Highly recommended for investors, ordinary buyers, and landlords, as well as real estate professionals.

There are great examples, usually in two or three paragraphs, for a whole variety of ownership and financing situations. The math examples are well laid out and easy to follow. These are probably the clearest I have ever seen, and much better than in standard real estate school texts!

Chapters include: Methods and Instruments of Financing, The Use of Leverage, Guidelines and Rules of Thumb, Residential Properties, Commercial and Industrial Properties, Vacant Land and Farms, Dealing in Real Estate Securities, Taxation and Tax Shelters.

All this in 165 pages!

Some small percentage of the book, such as regarding tax shelters, is of course not up to date with law changes (as happens with any printed book), but this does not detract from the value of the overall body of information offered in this book.
