Follow a detective and his partner through the twists and turns of their real-life investigation that proves that nothing is ever as simple as it seems. This workbook covers all aspects of criminal investigation. Students participate in the investigative process with numerous discussion/short-answer questions. Designed for individual, group, or classroom use, the workbook combines the working scenario of an investigator with the academic requirements of cognitive and writing skills. This provocative homicide will provide your students with outstanding insight into the mind of an investigator with years of knowledge, while at the same time driving home the practical application of criminal investigation theory and concepts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Investigating a Homicide.... March 2, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
It's a good tool for introducing students to the art of crime solving. I think the editor could've done a better job, tho, as I've noticed several typos so far. Nothing, however, that is drastic enough to effect what the book is teaching.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Class Assignment July 15, 2012
By mcl_88
Format:Paperback
I bought this as a requirement for a criminal investigation class I'm taking. We were assigned a chapter in this workbook every week. It's proven to be actually pretty fun and educational. Would definitely recommend if you're taking a class or just like this kind of thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book/Workbook August 31, 2013
By Jos
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I actually took this class with Tim Sweetman as my prof. It was even better when he delved into detail about the case. Even without Mr. Sweetman, the book is an easy read and a great who-dun-it. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a good murder mystery and follow the clues themselves. Happy reading!!
