Although my husband and I are fairly sophisticated investors, the title of this book appealed to us. It's written in an easy to read style, without complicated graphs and charts and without a lot of investment jargon. For us, it was interesting to read how the pros on Wall Street pick their stocks -- to "get into their heads" a little-- by reading the profiles. However, this book is really ideal for the novice investor, because it covers many topics and is a terrific overview. The lessons are short, but we see that as an advantage for someone who is new to investing. If the lessons were too long or too complicated, a new investor might not stick with the book long enough to finish it. There is a lot of information in this book. In fact, we're recommending it to some friends who want to get into the stock market, but have no idea where to begin. They would have to spend months reading to learn what's condensed in this book. The book also helps would-be investors learn about sources of information on the Internet (and other places). We think this is a great first book for anyone who wants to get an overview of investing.

There is a saying amongst traders that the best way to learn is to lose money. That money lost is often referred to as "tuition." This book has helped me stop paying "tuition" to the market. The advice in this book is timeless.

This superb book is easy to read but there is so much information in it you have to read it a couple of times to fully appreciate what is being written.

The author does a great job of objectively summarizing all the expert advice by some very famous investors. It is obvious Mr. Sincere spent alot of time researching his subject. He is able to convey his ideas without getting technical and boring, one of the problems with other financial books, except for the Fool books.

The section I found most entertaining and helpful was when he wrote about the danger signals and pitfalls to avoid. All in all, well written and one of the better books about the market.

I'm a fairly new investor and this book helped me a lot. It is chock full of information. Although I really liked the individual lessons and learned the most from them, the interviews with the market gurus were fascinating. What I like is it lets you really get inside the pro's heads to see how they trade.

This is one of the best books I read about investing in the market. It really tells you how to make money and the most commmon mistakes that investor's make.

I first picked up a copy of this book at the library and I liked it so much I bought two copies, one for me and one for my teenage son. 101 Investment Lessons is everything and more than I expected. I was looking for investment advice and Mr. Sincere delivered. It is fairly quick reading and loaded with useful advice.

Perhaps it was the bull market but after reading this book I tightened my portfolio and made more money in the last two weeks than I did in 6 monthss. Believe me, this author is good.

I found this book to be excellent due to the combination of various financial wizards that were interviewed in the book and the honest, straightforward advice. It is refreshing to see the combined advice of many people instead of just the opinion of one person. I will definitely buy any other books from Mr. Sincere.

It is funny how different people can have so many conflicting opinions about the same book. The author interviewed some of the most famous and successful investors in the country. You have to be out of your mind not to come away with something useful. The lessons are not obvious, at least to this humble long-term investor. Maybe if you know everything about the stock market, then devising a strategy, creating rules, cutting your losses, holding winners, minimizing risk by using dollar cost averaging, avoiding trading options and futures and 101 other lessons might be common-sense, but not to me.

Bottom line: One of the best books I have read on investing in the stock market.

Mike Sincere's book is a compendium of Who's who in the investment community.

The information in this book would take years to learn on your own. It is all presented in an easy to read format.

I would recommend this book to beginners as well as seasoned pros.

Ive decided to make it "required" reading for anyone who comes to work at my firm.

I got the most information about long term investing by reading the 20 indepth interviews with the professional investors. They tell you what stock-picking methods have worked for them, when to sell, what problems to avoid. The interviews with William O'Neil and John Bogle are especially informative. The professionals give so much advice I got the feeling I was reading two books. I've recommended this book to a number of my friends and will continue to do so.

This 250 page book is a great time-saver for people who don't have the time to read the typical 500-600 page books. A great book to start with. Author has a smooth, readable style. The only reason I gave it four stars is because no book is perfect. Well worth the price.
