This review is from: Invicta Men's 1107 Pro Diver Chronograph Black Dial Black Polyurethane Watch (Watch)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
Try to use me and fashion in a sentence together, and you'll understand the meaning of gibberish. I have no clue whatsoever, and never will. That's why I like to dress in anything that blends me in with the scenery. People pass by and seconds later wonder if someone just went by, or if it was just the wind. I'm easy to not notice.
No more. Me and my new watch have things to do. We'll go places, leave positive impressions, and move on before people know what hit them. This is one nice watch. It does clash with my preferred approach of invisibility. You can't hide this, or understate it. It's big. And heavy. And solid. But it fits nicely on my small wrist, nonetheless. And comfortably. The thick rubber band will probably last beyond me. So will the watch. The band fits snugly on my wrist if it is secured at the second hole. There is a lot of excess band left, but I can easily secure it with the sliding band strips. The strips are large, and slide easily. The watch is very secure at that position on my wrist, so small wrists should not be a problem.
The numbers on the display are large and greenish in color. They glow nicely at night, after several hours in daylight. Three subdials are arranged inside the large display. One is for the seconds, one is a twelve hour indicator, and one is a thirty minute dial. The subdial for the seconds actually serves as the second hand. The large second hand remains in the twelve position, and can be used as a stopwatch timing indicator. The watch has 3 buttons on the side. One adjusts the time and date. The date window displays the day of the month at the 4 o'clock position. The watch is easy to operate, and the side buttons are large and pull out easily to adjust settings. The buttons turn with extreme smoothness.
I was afraid this might be gaudy in appearance. It is nothing of that sort. It's attractive from any angle, and gives complete confidence in quality. I have no doubt it will last well beyond any watch I have so far owned. I don't wear expensive watches. I have found that inexpensive ones serve their purpose for my needs. I don't need this watch. But you wear this for the looks. And even someone like me, unconcerned with such matters, couldn't resist the obvious attractive qualities of this watch. I put it on, and to my shock and amazement, started planning when I would next wear it. I hope clothing and other fashions don't follow. I thought my personality was quite established and secure. I now sense a bit of... confusion? What in the world got started here?

It's...BIG, June 23, 2011
This review is from: Invicta Men's 1107 Pro Diver Chronograph Black Dial Black Polyurethane Watch (Watch)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
To tell you the truth, even though my SO isn't what you'd call "petit," I thought this watch was going to be somewhat smaller than it turned out to be. However, even though I think it looks rather weird on him, he likes it, so who am I to criticize?
Aesthetics aside, this is a really nice, functional timepiece. For one thing, I was pleased to observe that, unlike its box, the parts for Invicta Men's 1107 Pro Diver are Swiss-made (I couldn't find anything about where it's assembled but I'm willing to give Invicta the benefit of the doubt). And it comes with instructions for setting it up that an owner can actually understand, no small thing in these troubled times of opaque user instructions--a plus!
The Invicta includes a three-function (seconds, 1/10 seconds, minutes) chronograph (i.e., "stopwatch" in plain English), that's non-problematic to use (although it would have been nice if the watch's second hand were a sweep second hand). Given that it's a diver watch, there's also a diver's scale. This particular model displays the date only; no day or month.
Given the size of the dial, it would be kind of silly if the numbers weren't easy to read--rest assured that they are, including in dim lighting. The Invicta is, of course, water-resistant.
All in all, a very well-made timepiece; unfortunately, my SO isn't a diver so it won't be seeing any underwater use. The Invicta, despite its size (I have a hard time getting past that...personal prejudice, I guess), looks good, too. Given Amazon's price at the time of this review, the Invecta Men's 1107 Pro Diver is, quite frankly, a steal for a watch of this quality. Excellent value for an excellent watch.

Nice watch, but no brighter than other Invictas, May 17, 2011
This review is from: Invicta Men's 1107 Pro Diver Chronograph Black Dial Black Polyurethane Watch (Watch)
I got this watch a few days ago and thought it was high quality. Rubber band also seems heavy duty. I have one other Invicta which seems a little cheaper in quality. While this watch looks nice in the dark it does not have any special materials to make it glow brighter or longer than my other Invicta. The bezel numbers do glow blue which is nice.
