Broke after 3 days,

This review is from: Invicta Men's 1427 II Collection Chronograph Black Dial Leather Watch (Watch)
Sharp looking watch with a nice band but after wearing it for 3 days the minute hand came loose and stopped working. Either way now I have to send it back or pay to get it fixed and it's really inconvenient.

Big watch with a tight band,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
This is one huge watch. The band is too tight (as in there are not many holes for the hook) and the strap holder band is too small and too close to the starting point to catch the rest of the strap. Poorly designed in my opinion because it is too cumbersome to try and place on my wrist. It does look good and the components work well, but many friends either love it or hate it. The "huge and cheesy" comments outnumber the good ones I am afraid.I had no problems with the directions or the packaging. The packaging almost seems worth more than the watch. A better strap/band would have gone along way to changing my mind to 4 stars. Sam Hendricks, author Fantasy Football Tips and Fantasy Baseball for Beginners

This watch came with the 600 dollar price tag, somewhere in the world it's probably still sitting under a case for that price. It's like 50 bucks here on amazon. Some people have lowered their review rating because its too big or they dont like how it looks.. well the dimensions are put right in front of your face before you even ordered it so its not the watches fault. These Invicta watches are made in Japan, and have an identical appearance to Swiss watches. If your looking for a great "timepiece" that lasts the rest of your life without missing a tik, it's not the watch for you. If your like me, your buying the watch for 50 bucks to add to the collection and wear just occasionally. For what it costs, this watch doesnt lack anything in the style department. I could probably sell it to a friend for 125 if I really wanted to. The leather is nice, there is one annoying strap you have to get the band through, but thats the least of my worries. You won't find much better deals than this watch, buy it.

THIS WATCH IS AN EXCELLENT BUY. ON A LOT OF OTHER SITES IT SELLS FOR UP TO $125. I SEE OTHER REVIEWS ON HERE STATING THAT "THE WATCH IS TOO BIG", YOU PEOPLE SHOULDN'T BE SHOPPING ONLINE BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY YOU CAN'T READ AS THE DIMENSIONS ARE STATED IN THE ITEM DESCRIPTION RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. THIS IS A GREAT WATCH AT AN AWESOME PRICE.

My intentions when I made the purchase, was to by a casual watch. The watch looks like it's made of good quality material, it's classy, and even though it has a leather band it still looks dressy. It's simply beautiful. I bout this for my husband and he loves it! It is one of those "big face" watches, but it doesn't over power his wrist. It's a nice fit. I wanted one for myself, so I order the Invicta 6795 Women's Lupah Chronograph Black Leather Strap Watch; to match his.

I have had many complements on this watch , I love the Large Dial and classy look and the price is GREAT /... After reading some of the negative reviews about the appearance I have come to the conclusion that some people only have " taste " in their mouths ... Cheers !

I'am a Reader & a Walker. I like a time piece that is reliable, easy to read, and with a sharp but not ostentatious appearance. As I've received many compliments on the time piece, so my views are now assuredly biased. I do like the watch. I enjoy the stop watch function as I use it in my walking. I time: the hills, down slopes, lights, and more. As I change routes of agenda, or set goals, this feature has become BIG plus. I do treat the watch roughly, but it's engineered for extreme conditions. When it comes to time; however, it still depends on which side of the bathroom door your on.

This is a handsome looking watch in person. Large clean dial, chronograph function, Stainless steel, and a Japanese quartz movement. For the price of around $80-$90 dollars, it's not bad. The chronology timer function is pretty much useless due to the very small indicators. I have had no problems with the watch keeping accurate time. If you like the look, it's not a bad watch.

First off, this eye-catcher is not for the faint of heart or weak of wrist. This thing is HUGE. Humongous. Gargantuan. The face is nearly two inches in diameter and a full half inch deep. The knobs are plenty big, too. The band is thick and sturdy -- more like a heavy work boot leather than a soft glove leather. The pictures don't really convey just how big and heavy this watch is! Imagine something the size of a Babybel cheese with a strap attached. The face would easily cover the full width of an average wrist. That said, it is a handsome watch with a bold, simple style and clean black and white lines. It seems much more rugged than refined. The watch comes in a nifty bright yellow presentation box. The instruction booklet seems clear enough at first glance and claims to be "easy-to-use," but it appears to have been written for every Invicta watch ever made, so it takes a little effort to figure out which details and features apply to this particular model. The manual says "Invicta crafts many styles of watches using a variety of fine movements and complications. To find the instructions for your particular timepiece, simply look at it and answer only one of the following questions: Does it tell time only? Does it tell time and date? Does it tell time, day, and date? Does it have an alarm? Is it a chronograph? Is it a chronograph with big date and day? Is it a chronograph with date, day and month?" From what I can tell, this model is a chronograph with date but not day -- it has a built in stopwatch with the ability to keep intermediate times. Could be useful if you were a runner -- but then I doubt you'd want to carry this hefty weight around on a run, unless you wanted to balance out a water bottle in your other hand or something. I'm not sure about the suggested retail price of $595 -- but it seems like a pretty good deal at the actually selling price of under $100. Pros: Eye-catching, keeps accurate time (it arrived perfectly set), water-resistant, glow-in-the-dark hands. Drawbacks: Eye-catching, heavy, no alarm, complicated instruction manual, a little difficult to read because the white hands don't stand out against the white dials on the face. |
