Product Description

Vintage has never looked so good with this stainless steel Invicta timepiece. A bold dial stands out with enlarged Arabic numerals and a smooth black color sure to suit modern tastes.

Slide your hand into the bold style and sophistication of the Invicta Men's 1460 Vintage Collection Riveted Leather Strap Black Dial Watch. The watch features a stainless steel case and a stainless steel bezel that offers a unique rounded and ribbed texture. These elements surround a sophisticated black dial with silver-toned hour markers and luminous hands, which are powered by precise Swiss quartz movement. The dial features Arabic numerals at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 'o clock positions, along with a date display window at the 3 'o clock position. The dial is protected by a flame-fusion crystal. The case boasts a prominent crown on the right side, which features the same ribbed texture found on the bezel. The watch strap is made of black leather and delivers wonderful details in the form of a circular rivet and decorative stitching on each side of the watch case. The watch remains secure thanks to a stainless steel buckle clasp. Reaching back through time, Invicta’s Vintage collection captures the stylish elegance of the past and places it firmly on the wrist of the present.

I was really looking forward to wearing this wonderful timepiece with its awesome looking leather band and eye catching silver bezel.I also felt great about paying only $45 for it too! BUT!.. then I noticed that the crystal had some kind of dirty looking film of something on the inside that looked like someone had forgot to clean it before assembly.Yup! This very expensive watch had passed QC with a foggy looking crystal that anyone could see if taken a moment to look,so I returned it wishing I could keep the leather band to use on my other Invicta watch that is perfect but has a synthetic band.I'm sure that my watch was just a screwed up mistake and yours will be fine...

This is a pretty smart looking specimen, which is good, because it takes a lot of real estate on a wrist. The colors pop, particularly with the high contrast silver rim and the brads on the leather band. The crown is a bit larger than I think it needs to be, even to fulfill its pledge to be easy to set. If the watch is worn too low on the wrist, it's actually a bit obtrusive when using the hand.

When it's not, the watch is plenty comfortable. The leather band is soft and flexible, and the unit is not as heavy as its size might suggest. The large face can actually be a real advantage to people whose eyes aren't what they used to be (not that I know anybody like that ;)), and the profile of the watch is low, so it doesn't feel generally bulky.

The only thing thing that makes me uneasy about this watch is the list price. My husband likes expensive watches, so I'm no stranger to them, but I have to wonder why a watch that can retail for $495 would be currently offered by Amazon at $59.99. A quick search through Google's shopping results doesn't show it anywhere for more than $99 except in two eBay sales (other listings on the same site are considerably lower) and one evidently very optimistic website that wants full price (which site I've made a mental note to avoid). In judging the value of the watch (and what constitutes a good price for it), I'd be inclined to ignore the list price. At this point, $59.99 seems to be an excellent deal, with $99 the average going rate. Given the vagaries of the market, that could change.

On the whole, the watch feels and looks like quality. It's comfortable, it comes with a sturdy display box, and it tells time. It may not have a lot of bells and whistles, but it's a really good watch regardless.

Don't be fooled by the ridiculous list price; for some reason the Invicta watch series have this hugely inflated "suggested retail price" which is five fold or ten fold more than what you actually pay for the watch online. I think that is their attempt to convince people that they are buying a highly quality item than they actually are.

That said, I thought this watch was a very solid outing, and well worth the price that it is currently selling for on Amazon.

I really like how the black watch face goes with the black watch band; I also think the steel looking watch rim and numbers go well with the black, making it more of a fashion accessory than I am used to -which is nice.

The oversized watch face draws a little more attention to it -which is great if you want to wear a watch that looks "sharp", which I think this does. I found however, that the oversized watch face appealed to me for a very different reason: it was very easy to read.

It had a nicely sized (and gently curved) watch winding mechanism. It is not used to wind the watch, only to set the time, but it was a nice design and easy to grab and turn.

The band is stylish, and has two steel looking rivets highlighting the watch --whch makes it, in my opinion, more interesting to look at.

Oh yeah, it is water resistant to 50 meters, but, from experience, I can say that it is not a good idea to get a watch with a leather band wet -or else you have to wait for it to dry out before wearing it again, and salt water or chlorine can cause the leather to fade over time.

Overall, a nice watch, for a nice price, and one that looks pricier than it actually is, and probably nicer, too. Recommended at 10-15% of the suggested retail price. (Right now it is selling for 10% of the retail price.)

I've had a lot of complements on this watch most get it confused with Fossil. The band on this watch is very high quality which I appreciate since most watches like these aren't made for thick wrist such as mine. The watch has a nice big face to it and is very light in weight. Thought the crown would get in the way but it doesn't. At times since it has a two stage pull crown first is date, second is time it needs to be place on the 2nd stage then rotated counter clock wise. So the date can catch on the 1st stage, but not much of a negative since not having to do that much often. Love the look of this watch. It was exactly what I was looking for in a modern vintage big faced watch. I'll post photos of it soon. ***Update So I've had this watch for a few months now, I've notice that I wear it most of the time with casual wear. The leather is nice and smooth too which is getting better the more I wear it.
