When it's not, the watch is plenty comfortable. The leather band is soft and flexible, and the unit is not as heavy as its size might suggest. The large face can actually be a real advantage to people whose eyes aren't what they used to be (not that I know anybody like that ;)), and the profile of the watch is low, so it doesn't feel generally bulky.
The only thing thing that makes me uneasy about this watch is the list price. My husband likes expensive watches, so I'm no stranger to them, but I have to wonder why a watch that can retail for $495 would be currently offered by Amazon at $59.99. A quick search through Google's shopping results doesn't show it anywhere for more than $99 except in two eBay sales (other listings on the same site are considerably lower) and one evidently very optimistic website that wants full price (which site I've made a mental note to avoid). In judging the value of the watch (and what constitutes a good price for it), I'd be inclined to ignore the list price. At this point, $59.99 seems to be an excellent deal, with $99 the average going rate. Given the vagaries of the market, that could change.
On the whole, the watch feels and looks like quality. It's comfortable, it comes with a sturdy display box, and it tells time. It may not have a lot of bells and whistles, but it's a really good watch regardless.
That said, I thought this watch was a very solid outing, and well worth the price that it is currently selling for on Amazon.
I really like how the black watch face goes with the black watch band; I also think the steel looking watch rim and numbers go well with the black, making it more of a fashion accessory than I am used to -which is nice.
The oversized watch face draws a little more attention to it -which is great if you want to wear a watch that looks "sharp", which I think this does. I found however, that the oversized watch face appealed to me for a very different reason: it was very easy to read.
It had a nicely sized (and gently curved) watch winding mechanism. It is not used to wind the watch, only to set the time, but it was a nice design and easy to grab and turn.
The band is stylish, and has two steel looking rivets highlighting the watch --whch makes it, in my opinion, more interesting to look at.
Oh yeah, it is water resistant to 50 meters, but, from experience, I can say that it is not a good idea to get a watch with a leather band wet -or else you have to wait for it to dry out before wearing it again, and salt water or chlorine can cause the leather to fade over time.
Overall, a nice watch, for a nice price, and one that looks pricier than it actually is, and probably nicer, too. Recommended at 10-15% of the suggested retail price. (Right now it is selling for 10% of the retail price.)

Very plain. Not what I expected from an invicta. Some people may like it but it was not for me and I returned it.Published 4 months ago by Jenna Lynn
