Product Description

A bold dose of style, the Invicta Men's 1911 Specialty Collection Swiss Quartz Watch's off-kilter crown and easy-to-read dial face make this watch a no-brainer addition to your watch collection. This exceptional timepiece begins with a round 48mm black-toned stainless steel case with a black unidirectional bezel and a textured black crown at the 4 'o clock position. These elements surround a bold black dial, which is protected by a flame-fusion crystal and features white index and Arabic numeral hour markers and luminous hands powered by Swiss quartz movement. The dial also features a second and minute track around the outer rim of the dial. A black polyurethane band straps this watch to the wrist, while a reliable buckle clasp ensures its secure placement. Finally, this watch boasts water resistance up to 330 feet (100 meters).

In dark environments, the numbers have a cool blue glow for easy reading.

This is a great watch, keeps time very well, very simple to set and is downright nice to look at.

Not sure if that is mine only, but it bothers me, just not enough to go through an exchange.

I'm not overly fond of men's jewlery and fancy bright watches, but the black finish on this 1911 model is good looking and subtle for something this size.

The case is 1 7/8" across and 1/2" thick. The face, numbers and hands are large and can be read without bringing the watch up to your face, a glance down will show you the time even if you wear glasses.

Black rubber wrist strap is about 7/8" wide and almost 11" long end to end including the case... Up to 2 7/8" wrist size at large adjustment and down to 2 1/4" wrist size.
Fits me on the third adjustment hole out from case, 2 1/2" wrist size (I'm 6' 180lbs) Of course you can always buy another band if you wanted/needed to.

Seemed heavy at first, and it is compared to an average thin fashion watches, but weighs in at 4.2oz and that is the same as my Fossil watch that has a bit smaller case.

Nice watch, and worth the discounted selling price. In my opinion, would never be worth what they say is the original Invicta MSRP to me.

It seems you can "Save" enough off retail to buy another 6-8 of the same watches... ?? Most will agree that is a bit odd.

You can download a PDF owners manual at the Invicta site for more detailed info on operation of the full line.

You'll see at the top of the Amazon page there is a link to free extended warranty coverage at the Invicta web site... says all Invicta watches purchased at Amazon will have a free 4 year extension when you register with them.
Note that mine came back in an Email notice reading "one year" after following the instructions so not sure what's up with that.
I've Emailed Invicta customer service for the answer to this but have not heard from them on the matter. I will certainly update here IF and when they do respond.

I hope it keeps working for a long time, as I do like it.

I bought this watch last July, and I used for 5 weeks but never had the chance to put it into water. On the fifth week i was wearing it while I washed my hands and it got water inside, only washing my hands, in a watch that is supposed to be 100 meters water resistant.
I wrote to amazonservice@invictawatch.com, according to the instructions on the warranty, but never receive any answer.
So please be aware, this is a very bad quality product, and no customer service is available after the return period is expired.

Sure, the watch looks nice, but if you want to know what time it is don't depend on this watch to tell you if you need to be somewhere by a certain time, since time is one thing this watch doesn't keep track of very well.

I've noticed it losing about a minute per day over the past several weeks. I first noticed it losing time when it was 15 minutes slow one day. I thought maybe the stem had accidently been pulled out and pushed back in, so I set it again and kept track of any difference between its time and that on the phone and on my PC. Sure enough, it was seriously losing about a minute a day.

Losing a second or so a day isn't THAT big of a deal, but a MINUTE each day? Definitely not acceptable.

Since it was over a month since I bought it from Amazon, I didn't think it'd qualify for a free replacement, so I contacted Invitica to see about a warranty replacement. They don't replace their defective watches, instead, they want to charge a flat $28 dollar fee for them to ship it overseas to get it fixed. Since that was over half the price I paid for the watch, I found THAT unacceptable as well. And who knows how good it'd be after a trip overseas and back. They say their work is warranteed for a year, but that would again incur a $28 fee. Nice way to make money on defective watches.

I contacted Amazon just to see if they could help me out, and thankfully they decided to send me a free replacement. Great customer service on the part of Amazon, not so much as far as Invitica is concerned.

Hopefully the replacement will be more accurate and dependable.

One never knows what they are going to get over the Internet when it comes to watches and shoes. This Invicta 1911 is big, almost as tall as my wrist is wide (and no, I'm not a big fat guy). Even though the descriptions mentioned it was big I found it larger then expected. I feel like I'm wearing a clock on my wrist (and I thought my Fossil watch was big). It's heavy but not to the point of bothering me. The face is bold and extremely easy to read, so much so no one will ever ask you the time again because from anywhere in the room they'll be able to read it themselves. The numbers and hands glow in the dark well which is good because there is no light (no calendar either). When looking closely you'll notice the numbers are raised and so is the ring of "second" digits. The second hand clicks to each second. The band is thick and appears strong. I like the stem at an angle, not because it's easier to use but because it looks nice. The entire watch is black except for the numbers, second digits and hands. The second hand looks silver but it's so thin I can't tell. Hopefully the cases finish will not scratch down to the metal. So far the time has remained accurate. The watch comes nicely packaged so it looks good as a gift. The smell some have complained about smells to me like lemon furniture polish. I'm sure in a short time the smell will go away.

Some have complained it's a poor dive watch. In my opinion if you buy this to go diving you best stay out of the water before you get yourself killed. This is not a real dive watch. The bevel is more for looks and timing land-lubber events. Invicta makes real dive watches so check them out. You'll be spending quit a bit more money for a real dive watch as well you should.

Amazon's price is excellent for such a nice quality watch with Swiss movement. Overall I'm very impressed with the quality of this watch. Great for those with presbyopia. Highly recommended.
