5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful and Substantial Sports Chronograph Watch
The Invicta sports chronograph is a simply beautiful watch to reveal from the packaging. I already own two Invicta dive watches, and was impressed with those, but am even more impressed with this watch. I have to say I was very pleased with the product, particularly for the price. (I got it for less than currently listed on the Daily Deal)

I currently have a well known Japanese made quartz sport chronograph that is stainless steel tinged with a gold finish and is very handsome, but I needed another watch that did not contain the gold trim, as I wear a significant amount of white gold jewelry. I needed a watch with these functions that would not cost a lot of money, kept good time and was entirely stainless steel or, as this watch is, stainless steel with black accents. In addition, I was looking for a watch that I could wear when going out, as well as on an everyday basis. This watch will fit the bill nicely.

The hands are well proportioned and the watch is easy to read. The face is somewhat difficult to read for those without 20/20 vision, but I also have that problem with all chronographs. The bezel does not move in both directions, as the ad states, although for the price I can live with it. The bezel does, however move quite smoothly. The weight of the watch is hefty, without being too heavy and it feels substantial. It is larger than the dive watch I bought from Amazon, and would look funny on a smaller wrist. Finally, the clasp is unusual and very well made. It would be very tough accidentally open the snap and lose the watch, which has happened to me before on cheaper watches.

I would say the watch is well worth the money. It is well built and striking to look at.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice value for a swiss watch, July 14, 2008

This review is from: Invicta Men's 3913 II Collection Racing Sport Chronograph Watch (Watch)
I bought this watch for myself right before father's day, so I've been wearing it for several weeks. It's a very nice watch. The embossed finish on the face of the watch is really much more attractive than the photograph indicates and it's drawn a lot of compliments. This is a massive watch - it's larger than most men's watches and it's very heavy. That being said, it's not uncomfortable to wear casually. This watch has two date indicators with one easy-to-read number located at the 4 o-clock spot, and also a calendar dial function with 31 tick marks located at the 6 o-clock spot. To me, the dial calendar is useless as it is hard to read and duplicates a function already on the watch. The stop watch buttons feel a bit squishy to me, with no definite 'click' to indicate stop and start. Also, the stop watch only measures seconds - no tenths. These complaints are minor though. The overall quality of this watch is very high and I believe it to be an excellent value for a swiss watch. I bought it at the amazon sale price and received the 4 year extended warranty for free. Invicta returned the paperwork on the warranty registration in less than one week.

1.0 out of 5 stars Chronograph works... doesn't tell time, November 1, 2008

I received this watch with much anticipation. It came in an impressive bright yellow large box. The watch itself looks great, but... it didn't work! The chronograph works, but doesn't tell time. Called Invicta customer support, and sure enough, pretty much DOA. With lots of other negative quality reviews, will stick with Citizen or Bulova. Invicta customer care is lackluster to say the least.

2.0 out of 5 stars Decent watch for the price, September 19, 2008
This review is from: Invicta Men's 3913 II Collection Racing Sport Chronograph Watch (Watch)
You get what you pay for. I would say this watch is worth $99, and quite frankly, you can't buy a fine swiss watch for that price. I own several, including Tag, Rolex, Omega, and Movado. This piece does not approach any of those in quality or feel, which is how it should be considering the cost. This watch keeps good time, is WR to 100M, and has a sapphire crystal, which are all positives.

I do have a couple of complaints. The description states that one of the sub-dials is for 1/10 sec. This is not true, the 6:00 sub-dial shows the date, which is totally worthless because it is almost illegible, and the date is already displayed at the 4:00 position. The pointer for the 30 min sub-dial does not line up perfectly with the display marks, and the hands, which Invicta says should glow for 20 hours, do not illuminate in the dark at all.

Overall, given the price point, I am satisfied. However, if I had known all of the negatives in advance, I probably would not have even spent the $99.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking watch, but has problems, January 20, 2012
This review is from: Invicta Men's 3913 II Collection Racing Sport Chronograph Watch (Watch)
I own the Invicta 3913, and has been my daily wear for nearly 4 years now. Unfortunately, after about 1 year, the date stopped turning on this watch. I have tried playing with the crown for the date adjustment is controlled with one click out, and then a turn. However, the date function no longer turns. I have tried to contact Invicta support but received no response.

Outside of this issue, I do enjoy wearing this watch. It looks nice and has held up to some pretty rough thrashing over the years. I am into some very active sports (snowboarding, mountain biking, etc.) and have a pretty aggressive approach to them. This watch is still ticking.

3 stars because while I do enjoy wearing it, the date issue and Invicta's lack of response to me was disappointing.

The watch is great and good looking, but the only thing my husband didn't care for was the big, white lettering on the black dial.
