Classic dive watch styling with contemporary features, the Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Automatic Stainless Steel Watch functions without a battery -- it is powered automatically with the movement of your arm. This impressive timepiece also features a brushed and polished stainless steel case and a band that closes with a fold-over safety clasp. The stainless steel case provides an ideal foundation for this watch's rotating bezel with minute markers and the attractive dial. The dial has luminous hands and hour markers. There's also a magnified date window at the four o'clock position to help you keep tabs on your busy schedule. For added style, Invicta included a large crown on the right-hand side of the case. Other features include precise Japanese automatic movement, a durable flame-fusion crystal, and water resistance to 660 feet (200 meters).

Automatic Watches

Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.

Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).

This Invicta was a real bargain. I saw it elsewhere for $125.00 plus $10.00 shipping but got it here for $79.00 with free shipping. The red bezel, silvery white face with red numbers and markers make this watch a real attention getter, even more than some of my higher end more "expensive" watches. The exhibition back on the case is a nice added touch. The luminescence is good but not great. It is becoming one of my favorite watches. I want a watch that keeps good time but I'm not a fanatic about losing seconds a day or minutes a week. That said, I have not had to adjust this watch in the couple of months I've owned it. I buy watches if I like how they look and this is a beautiful watch (they don't have to cost a small fortune but they should look like they do). The Pro Diver 6032 is well worth the price and I would highly recommend it. I have 3 Invicta automatics and none of them has given me a bit of trouble. In addition the watch was delivered very quickly and was securely packaged. The overall experience has been very positive.

I just received my 6032 yesterday. After (relatively easily) removing a few links, I noticed that the crown does not screw down. Without this feature, there's no way the watch is waterproof to 2 feet, much less 200 meters. Just something to know. I will be wearing it for work, and it will just be washed daily (as with my Tissot and Submariner that I also wear for work), but I won't be submerging it into a full sink. Other than that, a great deal for $79.99. Why EVER buy a quartz watch?

I didn't knew this watch brand until i saw in Amazon. I get very good impressed with the high quality of this timepiece.

Pros:

Nice and clean design
Good materials
Run smooth machinery
Heavy weight (particulary i like this so much)

Cons:

The bracelet latch has a sharpened edge that eventually could hurt your wrist.

Overall, good very nice and good watch.
