Just purchased this for my husband for Christmas 2010. He has become a bit of a collector and I chose this because it was quite different from anything he owns. I always chuckle at the list price of the Invicta($2,995). I paid $289 from another online site(new, not used). I can't imagine ANYONE would pay list. It just seems like a random number that Invicta chooses. That being said, I think my husband will like adding this to the watches he owns and since we are not rich and can't afford to spend thousands on each watch I am happy with the quality of my choice. I received this watch yesterday. It took a long time to decide myself to acquire the Invicta given 2 reasons: 1.- the not so good reviews on poor craftmanship and 2.- price fluctuations.

First of all, I have to say the watch itself is beautiful, big, heavy definetely an eye catcher. If this is what you are looking for, this ones for you.

However, I am terribly dissapointed on the fact that it came out of the box with one of the small seconds keeper hand out of place. Brand new. Unbelievable.

I own another, much cheaper, invicta watch and has worked perfectly for years, thats what made me get this, disregarding other reviewers with a similar problem on their watches. Big mistake.

The big issue here, is that I have traveled outside the US, so I have to figure out how on earth am I going to apply the guarantee. Hopefully Amazon will be there for me.

I have given this 2 stars on the hope that everything will be sorted out and the fact that the watch itself is nice. Otherwise, not a really happy buyer.

I ordered this as an anniversary gift for my husband. When he opened it he noticed that there was a loose watch hand floating around behind the crystal. We sent it back and ordered another one. The same watch hand from the same position on the face was floating around behind the crystal. We sent this one back too. We've decided to go with a different watch all together. It is really too bad because he really liked the gift.

For the most part, I like this watch. It came packaged in a water proof, enormous, bright yellow plastic case. It came with three extra bands. The watch was excellent in its demensions except one. This watch is about 1/2 inch thick and weighs in the pounds. This is ok if you are submerged but for daily wear its a bit much. Otherwise it is a beautiful watch, highly polished and with almost every function you could want from a watch.

I own two Invicta watches. You get a nice watch and a lotta bling for a little cash. I don't doubt that this is a nice timepiece, attractive and reliable. But that list price is a joke! Did somebody move the decimal place? The sweet spot on Invicta watches is around $40 - $100. Beyond that, you may find better value in a high-quality mass produced watch like Seiko.

I own two Invicta watches bought at the same time and both have issues. The only thing worse than the issues is their customer service. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 star is that they are nice looking watches... as for the movements, and accuracy of the time they keep both watches leave something to be desired.
