Product Description

A solid stainless steel case and stainless steel bezel gives the Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Automatic Watch a rounded look. A sporty, yet fashionable black polyurethane band is held safely with a buckle style clasp. The unidirectional stainless steel bezel imprinted with white Arabic numeral and stick minute markers allows the wearer to time elapsed time. A stylish mother-of-pearl dial displays round hour markers in between Arabic numeral markers at the twelve, six, and nine o'clock positions. A date window at the three o'clock, luminescent hands, large push-pull crown, and water-resistance to 330 feet complete this Japanese-automatic, self-winding timepiece.

Watch Features:

Automatic Watches

Automatic watches do not operate on batteries. Automatic watches are made up of about 130 or more parts that work together to tell time. Automatic movements mark the passage of time by a series of gear mechanisms, and are wound by the movement of your wrist as you wear it. The gear train then transmits the power to the escapement, which distributes the impulses, turning the balance wheel. The balance wheel is the time regulating organ of a mechanical watch, which vibrates on a spiral hairspring. Lengthening or shortening the balance spring makes the balance wheel go faster or slower to advance or retard the watch. The travel of the balance wheel from one extreme to the other and back again is called oscillation. Lastly, automatic movements come in different types, including movements that are Swiss-made, Japanese-made, and more.

Also referred to as self-winding, watches with automatic movements utilize kinetic energy, the swinging of your arm, to provide energy to an oscillating rotor to keep the watch ticking. They're considered more satisfying to watch collectors (horologists) because of the engineering artistry that goes into the hundreds of parts that make up the movement. If you do not wear an automatic watch consistently (for about 8 to 12 hours a day), you can keep the watch powered with a watch winder (a great gift for collectors).

Pro Diver Collection

Plunge into any horizon using the steadfast guidance of the Invicta Pro Diver. Stylishly classic, internal workings are forged with variations of either Swiss chronograph or 21-jewel automatic movements and willingly navigate in depths up to 300 meters. Built with confident prowess, the fortitude with which these timepieces function makes the Pro Diver the quintessential in performance.

Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

With its most inspired creations yet, Invicta demonstrates its technical and design prowess, offering timepieces of style for extreme value.

"We have long held firm to the belief that supremely crafted timepieces can be offered for extremely modest sums. The quality is great and the look is good, I just had to adjust my expectations to match the reality of the "new" color. I got this watch May 27th and haven't used any of my other watches since then. My impression (as a result of the pictures) was that the watch had a silver bezel. However the bezel is more of a brown/gray color. That was frustrating because it would be a "dressier" watch if the bezel was the color advertised. I've tried many different ways to take a picture of my watch to match the color shown on the site and haven't been able to reproduce the same results which makes me think this isn't the same watch displayed in the pic. The band is not "black rubber" either it is a grey color not anywhere near "black" but I did see that in the pic and was expecting that- if you want dark black get something else.
I don't work for NASA so the fact that it is off by +/- 3 seconds a day or whatever the other reviewers have calculated doesn't affect my life at all, I simply periodically adjust the time every once in a while (maybe 2 times total).

The Invicta 6998 Pro Diver meets and exceeds all expectations. I've owned several Invictas, quartz and automatic, and this is, by far, my favorite. The size is large, and 'large' is not for everybody, but I'm 6'3" 300 lbs, and the watch looks great on my slightly bloated wrist. The movement is healthy and accurate with a sweeping second hand and no nonsense date view. It can be wound on an automatic winding machine or by hand, by turning the crown a couple dozen times. The back side of the watch is see-through and the classy automatic system is viewable. The rotating bezel is easy to turn, but not so easy that it turns when you don't want it to. The rubber, Invicta imprinted band is comfortable and stylish with a simple, large buckle closure. I would prefer a closure that looks like a buckle, but is actually a snapping clasp (but now I'm splitting hairs). The mother of pearl face is nice, but aesthetically a little feminine. Fortunately, the rest of the watch is so manly that few would ever notice. I only paid about $45 dollars for this watch, so I am very pleased with the value. I would say it is worth twice that cost. Invicta gets some flack for making a product that looks better than it really is, and in my experience I would say that is an accurate estimation. However, this watch is the exception. If you like the way it looks, I highly recommend the purchase. You'll love everything else about the watch as well. But keep in mind, it's not for a small wrist.

First off, this is and excellent watch for an unbelievable price. I read many of the other reviews, and I can't really find anything negative about it in my experience. The watch exceeded my expectations as far as quality goes. It looks and feel like a much more expensive watch. I don't have any problems with the colors either, it pretty looks like the picture. The band is a very nice sculpted piece of polyurethane, and it's very thick and sturdy, so I don't foresee it wearing out anytime soon. It's a dark charcoal grey, which goes very nicely with anything in my wardrobe. The color around the bezel is a dark chocolate brown, which is also understated. The dial is a beautifully colorful piece of mother of pearl and makes the watch look very dressy if you want to wear it with a suit. It is also very visible at night because of the glowing markers and the highly reflective dial material. It keeps time well, and it has a nice size and heaviness I like. It's a big watch, and I have small wrists, but the band adjusts very well and it's not a problem for me. I haven't tested it with water, but I'm pretty sure I don't have to worry about it getting wet. All in all, I'm impressed with Invicta watches, as this is the first Invicta I've purchased. This is the nicest watch I've ever owned.

I own 6 Invicta watches and this has been a treat. It is hard to get a automatic this nice for this low. This has been my least expensive Invicta to date and one that gets worn more and more. I like the size and weight and the hard rubber band just feels like quality. The watch does run out in approximately 48 hours so I often rotate this one to wear every other day and am just fine.

As other reviews have said, the band is gray, not black. The face of the watch is really interesting with the mother of pearl face giving a different look depending on the angle and lighting. This is a big, bulky watch that feels substantial. I have had it for a month and it has kept excellent time; I have not had to adjust the time at all and it still reads the same time as my iPhone. I have showered and gone swimming without an issue. I was a little worried as the crown does not screw down, but I have read about watches with internal gaskets that prevent water entry. In any event, I have not had a issue with water. The reason that I have given 4 instead of 5 stars is the watch crystal. I am not particularly hard on watches, but I don't take them off when I do yard work, etc. After a month of typical usage, I have two small scratches on the crystal. Other watches that I have do not have this issue as they have sapphire crystals, not the flame fusion whatever that Invicta uses. However, for a $70 watch, I am really happy.
