Great Watch,
By
This review is from: Invicta Men's 6036 Pro Diver Collection Automatic Stainless Steel Watch (Watch)
This is my first Invicta. I appreciate nice watches but don't have a Rolex budget. Saw this watch and decided to give it a try. After 2 weeks I am very pleased with my purchase. It is very nice and considering the price I feel it is a great deal. I will definitely purchase other Invicta watches.
This watch will keep time for about 2 days without being wound. I have several automatics and the movement is better than average for less expensive watches. The band is well constructed but a little light considering the weight of the watch. The links are solid, not folded or bent, so I don't anticipate the band being a source of trouble. I am a big guy and still had to remove 2 links, which was very easy with the proper tool. The face is very appealing despite the fact that the numerals (6,9,12) don't contrast with the face enough to be easily seen. They are only visible up close with good light. (This doesn't bother me but I could see it being an issue for some.) The bezel seems to be a bit loose on one side, but isn't a big problem. I like the magnified date window as I can't see the date well on some of my other watches. This watch is large but not overly so. If my review seems critical, I am only trying to be objective. This is a great watch and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. It is a very visually appealing watch.

Nice design but poor movement and support,

This is a rather large diver, compared to other more standard size divers from Invicta (like the 6018 I have) and others it is a few mm larger in diameter and the band could not be sized to my wrist even after removing all the links - while on most other divers I only need remove two from each side. I really like the design of this watch but I will no longer buy Invictas for two reasons:
1) The movement, the newer NH25A is wildly inaccurate. This one runs nearly 10 minutes slow per month and the one in my 6018 runs nearly 10 minutes fast per month. 2) "Warranty" repairs cost $28! Nearly half the cost of this watch! I'm deterred from even sending it in to have the accuracy dialed in. I'm sticking to Orient watches which are +/- 1 minute per month and have superb and free warranty service.

When you see this watch in the pictures you must admit that it looks very attractive; however when you wear it you realize it is a stunning piece. You will read comments from those that love to bash simply because they can; however no one can argue:
1- The watch is a gorgeous piece 2- The quality of the automatic time piece is incredible and very accurate 3- At the current price it is not a bargain it is a steal!!!!! Some people will compare this to a Rolex, no one can argue that it is a replica; but for less than $100 I can buy 40 amazingly looking Invicta watches before I get close to the cost of a Rolex. If your goal is to impress people by wearing an expensive Rolex, then this watch is not for you. However, if all you need is a beautiful, well made, incredibly affordable time piece, then bite the bullet. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!! I work with many people who own Rolex and when they bring up the "BRAND" I make fun of them because I have the rest of the money in my pocket!!!!! I own a total of 8 different Invicta watches and don't regret a single purchase. My 17 year old son allways asks me to borrow some of them; I had to buy him his own!!!! THINGS TO CONSIDER: The time piece is larger than most watches but it will only take you a few days to get used to; I am only 5'7" and 150 lbs and it fits perfect whether wearing a suit or jeans. It is a heavier piece so you will feel it when it slides in your wrist, again a few days or a week and you get used to. If you don't use it daily it will stop in about 2 days (this is common of any automatic time piece so don't complain). Regardless. None of these are reasons not to purchase. |
