The Invicta case size of 39mm diameter and 11mm thickness, is very close to the Rolex, and both have 20mm solid-link steel Oyster bracelets. The battery in the Invicta will require changing after about 2-5 years, but that won't cost anywhere near as much as sending your Rolex to an authorized repair facility for cleaning and adjusting every 10 years or so.
Both watches have dual timezone function, good for the frequent trans-timezone traveler, but you'll feel a lot less bad about having your Invicta lost or stolen on that European vacation.
Other Invicta pluses include:
.It's a good-looking watch truly suited to all-around wear for all occasions. I'm thinking the Rolex probably has better actual water resistance and the Rolex sapphire crystal is nice, and there is always the whole status thing, but, again, thousands of dollars difference in price.
.The Invicta GMT (red arrow) hand is easy to set, but you should set it a little ahead of where you want it. That is, set it a little ahead of the exact time in the second time zone to account for any slack in the movement. Otherwise, the GMT hand will run a little behind the desired setting. And be happy with decent accuracy in the GMT hand since it circles the dial only once every 24 hours.
.The luminosity and overall readability of this watch are great.Read more ›
My GMT's alternate hour hand, however, doesn't seem to line up very well. That's why I knocked a star off of this review. It's inexpensive and worth the investment, but I don't think you will be navigating the South Pole with this one though.

This is a good watch. I like the color combination and it's been keeping good time. Would give it a 5 if it had a screw down crown or rotating bezel. Read morePublished 6 months ago by TDMax
Perfect watch, stainless steel, dual time zone watch. Or use the 24-hour dial in sync with 12 hour dials.Published 7 months ago by Amazon Customer
Own a few Invictas, this has become one of my favorites. Solid construction, not too big, looks great.Published 13 months ago by Amazon Customer
I bought this watch because the description specifically sets that the Bezel is unidirectional. Well, it's not. It's a fixed Bezel. Now I have to do a return. Very unhappy.Published 19 months ago by erik michelson
