Good watch, lousy warranty
on February 26, 2013
The Venom is about the only watch I like from Invicta plus it's size and weight is unlike ANY you will ever find or wear. I own this Venom and the black one with the blue face. For the money spent, you might expect a more extended warranty from Invicta beyond the first year. I really love the watches and yes you will get at least a few compliments if worn daily, especially on the silver one. Now for the gripes; the rubber straps will split and/or crack from exposure to extreme weather (summer to winter & vice versa). Replacing them will set you back $60 but the adjuster is only $1 (forget about Invicta servicing it). Take it to a well experienced watch repairer as the bottom plate is difficult to remove. Not replacing the straps (exclusive to Invicta) will render the watch useless; that's because they use four holding pins instead of two, so no other brand will fit it, a real bummer for such a nice looking watch.
