Great looking watch, great price, giant piece of crap
I purchased this watch for roughly $37 last October. I figured for the price I would give it a shot, but my $20 Armitron keeps better time than this. It will work great for a month or so, and then it will randomly stop keeping time and the hour and second hands stay roughly in the same location. Sometimes if you reset the time on it it will work, other times it will...

I shopped this watch to death before buying it. I had many criteria, including size (42-44mm), materials (stainless steel with metal band), display (DAY, date, second hand), movable bezel, water resistant, silver or white face color, quartz movement, etc. Basically, I cared a lot about almost every aspect of the watch, and the Invicta 5243 hit almost all of them (I would have preferred numbers on the face -- like at the 2, 4, 8 and 10 -- but I'm also smart enough to figure out the time without them).
My price range was "under $1,000.00" so I was tickled to find it for under $75 (it was then -- as now -- out of stock at Amazon.com so I bought it on an auction site).
This watch has been even better than I had hoped. I just now checked its accuracy against [...], and the watch has lost only 20 SECONDS over the course of nearly FOUR MONTHS!!! That is absolutely incredible, especially for such an inexpensive watch.
I could not give this watch a higher recommendation. It is simply excellent.

Sometimes if you reset the time on it it will work, other times it will not. I had the battery checked and it was fine, so it is something with the watch. I never filed my warranty paperwork with Invicta, although by looking at their repair prices on their website it probably wouldn't matter anyway because they look like a nickel and dime operation. I thought it would be a decent enough watch that filing paperwork wouldn't be necessary, looks like I was wrong.
This is the first and last Invicta product I will ever purchase, and I am telling everyone else to stay away as well. 1 star does not do this watch or company justice, they need integer ratings on here.
