Subaqua Collection
Led with expert engineering, and always ready to face the depths, no feat or occasion will ever be too great for Invicta’s Subaqua to handle. The sheer magnitude of this mighty timepiece is superbly executed with surgical-grade solid stainless steel, Swiss automatic movements, and multiple color options of ionic plating. Managing up to 500 meters of water, finished off with a unidirectional rotating bezel, integrated shock resistance, and Invicta’s luminous Tritnite? hands, the Subaqua is the diver’s definitive in negotiating any adventure by sea or by land.
Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

With its most inspired creations yet, Invicta demonstrates its technical and design prowess, offering timepieces of style for extreme value."We have long held firm to the belief that supremely crafted timepieces can be offered for extremely modest sums. It is the founding principle of our flagship and the radical notion that still drives us today. By being true to our convictions, we will continue to turn the balance of power, and deliver true Swiss luxury to anyone who desires it. Let all those who possess our timepieces and pass through our doors witness the quality, value and care in every piece we create, and the spirit of never-ending possibilities in everything we do." These are the words that greet visitors and motivate team members inside the Invicta Watch Group's new worldwide headquarters. Emblazoned in stainless steel, it has been the Invicta message since Day One. With each new timepiece, the company sends up a flare for those looking to be defined not by how much they spend, but how wisely they spend. With its strong collections, the gutsy Swiss brand is guaranteed to keep attracting followers. The art of the craft. Inside an Invicta Workshop At our Swiss workshops, we mix time-honored traditions with a little bit of horse sense every single day to produce the greatest values in the watch-making world. |

Cool watch, bad support,

This review is from: Invicta Men's 5508 Subaqua Sport Black Ion-Plated Chronograph Watch (Watch)
When I received this watch and I tried the stopwatch function, I thought it may be broken because the 1/10 sec counter hand would not move and the center stop-second hand would not return to its 0 position when the stopwatch was reset. Trying to correct the misalignment using the procedure explained at pages 26-27 of the manual didn't work either.
Trying to get support from Invicta was a waste of time. There is no way you can get in touch with a human being to ask questions. You can only register the warranty and file a service case. First problem, the on-line form doesn't have enough space to explain an issue different from the predefined ones. Second, filing a case will only allow you to mail the watch to Invicta for repair at your own expenses and taking 6-8 weeks, which is absurd when you only need to ask for instructions! I have since learned that the 1/10 counter is only supposed to move when the stopwatch is stopped not while it is running, even though this behavior is not specified in the manual. I also figured out that the manual is completely wrong about the corrective move and the procedure is quite different: - when the crown is in position 1 (date setting), you can adjust the minute counter hand using the A button and the stop-second hand using the B button - when the crown is in position 2 (time setting), you can adjust the 1/10 sec counter hand using the A button No need to activate the corrective mode in position 2 pressing both buttons for 2 seconds or to press the B button to change hand. The stop-second hand also does not rotate since there is no activation. So in the end, 5 stars for the watch and 2 stars for Invicta. The watch itself is lighter on the wrist than you would expect from a watch this chunky. The rubber strap is wide but not too long (so there is almost none sticking out) and the watch actually wears smaller than it looks. It also sit comfortably on the wrist so even people with wrists under 7" can wear it if they enjoy big watches. You can even sleep wearing it without any discomfort.

Be careful when you buy an Invicta watch. I purchased this watch in Oct 2009 and had to send it to invicta for repair within two months. Let me tell you that their customer service is horrible. So if you do decide to buy this watch, just know you have been warned. I am still waiting to get my watch back and at this point I just want my money back. I will never recommend the Invicta brand to anyone.

I bought this watch as a birthday present to myself because I plan on doing some world traveling and it looked very durable. I was wrong, literally the fourth or fifth time I wore the watch I was sitting at the dinner table and the watch fell completely off my wrist because the screw that holds the pin in came loose. I couldnt find the screw so I called Invicta to order another one. They said it could take up to 90 days before I should expect it. So I'm stuck with an expensive watch that I can't wear for three months. On the other hand, it is a very good looking watch, just wish I could wear it...
