Gorgeous, stylish, sturdy, and fun,

This review is from: Invicta Women's 5067 Baby Lupah Diver Metallic Watch with Interchangeable Band Set (Watch)
This watch isn't going to be a great office-work watch or ideal for a nice night out. But for any other day it'll match whatever you have in your closet - the interchangeable bands will guarantee that.
The previous reviewer who gave this watch the lowest rating didn't review the manual - the interchangeable bands don't require any tool, just a little bit of fingernail strength, and jimmying it around a little. The first time I switched bands it took under a minute. The leather is quite stiff when you put any of the bands on for the first time so I'd suggest rolling both straps and bending them gently first beforehand to soften them up. Already the two bands I've worn have relaxed and the watch is quite comfortable to wear. Previous to this, I have only owned skinny-banded tiny-faced dress watches, and I wanted to mix it up for a change For sure, the first day of wearing took a little adjustment, because this is not a small or superlight watch. It's quite chunky, with a large face, but I love the unapologetic size of it. I have a 5.5 inch wrist and was worried that this watch wouldn't fit small enough (my biggest gripe with my old watch was that even at the tightest setting, the watch face would always end up on the inside of my wrist, necessitating adjustment every time I glanced to check the time). This watch fits perfectly on the smallest setting, not flush against my skin but tight enough so that it won't flip over with normal movement. The straps that come with the watch are not entirely as pictured; they are less brassy and bold, and more muted metallics in person. When buying this from Amazon, I didn't think I would ever use the copper tone, but it in person is more of a peachy-pink gold that is just gorgeous and matches about anything. The grey strap is also quite versatile, pale with hints of light violet. And of course, the silver and gold will also help to match whatever other jewelry you choose to wear. The face is a gleaming white, which when moved in the light catches the mother-of-pearl sheen and hints of color. The numbers are large to match the case size instead of being dwarfed by it. The hands glow in the dark at night - though the numbers don't, it's simple enough to guess what the time is with the hands alone. I can't recommend this highly enough. I love the look of it, and you can tell that it's a very well made high quality watch that will last for years. At Amazon's low price, I wouldn't hesitate as it's so far below retail (although I suspect retail might be a *tad* inflated...). Regardless, it's a beautiful watch and a versatile accessory. My only gripe is that although it is a "diver's" watch that can withstand 330ft of water depth, the leather straps, I'm guessing, are not waterproof and thus this defeats the purpose of having to see "300 METERS (330 ft)" on the bottom of the face of the watch forever. But that's just a nitpicky thing that bothers me just because I find it slightly contradictory for a waterproof watch to be on leather straps. As someone who is used to wearing their watch into and out of the shower daily for assumed water resistance, this watch may end up not being my "everyday" one because of the inconvenience of having to take it on and off so often for fear of damaging the leather.

"If you're fat - take it back!",

I am a huge supporter, and owner of Invicta watches (for myself - AND my wife). While this watch makes a handsome gift for any woman, and is Clearly a beautiful timepiece at a greatly discounted price - unless she has a Very thin wrist, think twice before buying. The saying that entered my mind after presenting my Mrs. with this watch was, "Anyone except thin women need Not apply". Either I received a watch with defectively small multiple (yet stylish) wristbands - OR - Invicta has made a decision Not to address the needs of larger size purchasers ! In a tough economy, I would think Invicta would want to have Every customer's needs satisfied!.

I just purchased this watch and it's my first Invicta purchase and I will be purchasing other Invicta watches in the future. I just ordered my fiance an Invicta watch so it's a definite "must have" if you're an avid watch lover. This is a high quality watch and I'm truly satisfied.

Bad Battery & Bad Customer Service,

The battery on my new Invicta watch died after 6 weeks. It came with a 12 month warrantee. I contacted Invicta and requested a replacement battery at no charge. They agreed to do this if I paid $20 to return my watch to them. This is a bad faith warrantee and very bad customer service. I will never again buy an Invicta watch. I will have the battery replaced at a local jeweler.

I love this watch! Size is on the large side, which is what I wanted. The facing, the numbers, second hand are easy to see/read. The bands are not too difficult to change; there is aliitle slide assistance on the inside of each band. The only real problem is the stiffness of each new band: must be 'broken in'. All in all, this has become my favorite watch!

Pictures don't do it justice!,

As soon as I saw this watch when looking specifically for Invicta watches I kept going back to this model. It looked simple but very pretty. My husband wasn't too keen on it saying there wasn't much to it, too simple; however, when I received it 2 days later his words were "I was wrong, this is a really nice watch". I am totally in love with it, all the bands are really nice and not flashy at all. You can basically wear it with anything. I was never big on big watches but this one just looks so nice on. Get it!!! If you like the pictures you'll like it even more when you see it in person!
I've read reviews about people complaining that only women that have thin wrists can wear this watch and even though I do have thin wrists I can't agree with that. There are still 6 holes remaining when I wear it, so I think even women with thicker writs should be able to wear it as well. I even had my husband try it on and it was big enough.

couldn't resist amazon's offer ($60)! i totally luv this watch. i'm partial to chunky watches so I couldnt let this offer pass. the straps have this easy release feature so switching straps is super easy! you dont even need to read the manual to figure it out! the straps are gorgeous that I didnt want to ruin them by wearing them everyday so I bought a cheaper strap locally...one that i wont feel so bad about ruining haha! I'm just having issues with that thing you pull to adjust the time. It says you have to rotate it until it pops out and you can pull it to adjust the time. then you'd have to rotate it the other way and 'seal' it back (to make it waterproof). I just cant manage to seal it back =S i guess i'll just have to figure it out. all in all, a great deal on a lovely watch!
Just a follow up on my review: the battery ran out within a month...but had it replaced at a local watch repair shop and that solved the problem...still having issues with the knob tho...sometimes, I'd notice that it had stopped because it had been pressed down while I was wearing it (which is odd because the manual says it should be pressed down to ensure that it's waterproof)...would take back a star or two from my rating if the watch continues to give me problems...good thing I got it at a bargain

Rec'd my watch on Friday & absolutely love it! Another reviewer reported it isn't for fat arms....I am a size 3X & have no real problem (I hook it in the 3rd hole from the end--not bad)...the leather straps are a little stiff @ first, they use a thick, quality leather , so they should be stiff. The changing of the straps is not difficult either, I don't think, like another reviewer wrote....my only problem lies in finding the small hole to slide the pin into---but that does not deter me in the least, it's not THAT much of a problem! I don't know that I would ever even consider it @ the "retail", but the sale price is certainly worth it, & more! (I'm not a diver, so I'm not concerned about the strap being leather) The strap colors are very nice.

this is a nicely made watch that is packaged very well in a good box for keeping the extra bands in. however it is a bulky watch, very thick. the set also fails to include a tool for switching the bands. I have not tried to change the bands yet as there are no directions nor a tool for pushing the dowel rod over to remove the band. the lack of directions and a band changing tool are what brings my review to 3 stars

I received the watch set in a prompt manner from the company. Packaging was very good. I opened up the box and noticed the watch hand appeared to move any time I moved the watch. The leather bands were very stiff, but I could live with that if the watch actually worked! I was really diappointed because its a nice looking watch, but didnt work. I sent the company a e-mail, and received a return shipping label. I asked for either a refund or replacement, and the company refunded my money.
