I would recommend 'Invincible' to any and every comic book reader, this is an awesome collection of the first 48ish (0-47) issues!

This book really made me a Invincible fan, and now I can't wait for the next Compendium to continue the adventure of Mark Grayson, Invincible.

Not too wordy, not overly complicated but with good, solid story lines with likable characters and a nice plot twist now and then.

i've been a huge fan of Invincible ever since i picked up the first TPB
in the meantime i bought and read 4 TPBs and i would have continued to buy single TPBs if not for the Compendium volume
a huge advantage of the Compendium volume is its incredible price. Compendium 1 contains 9 TPBs which to buy from Amazon individually would cost around $90-100 + S&H. instead, you pay $40 + S&H. true, it is probably nicer to see on a bookshelf 9 different TPBs, but that is for sure not good enough reason for me to continue buying individual TPBs
the same stands true for Walking Dead Compendium 1 which i also have

i really appreciate the fact that Image is giving us this 'Compendium option'

I work in a comic shop, hardly any customers are willing to give this Image title a shot (because well, Image.), but all of the employees adore it. It starts off a little slowly, but once you get maybe, 6 issues in you can't possibly put it down. Just completely brilliant. It isn't just for people who like super heroes, it isn't even just for people who like comics, but it's completely perfect for the medium and it constantly continues to improve both in story and in art. It's absolutely Kirkman's best work, hands down.

There are nearly 50 issues in this thing when you consider it has 1-47, issue 0, the Origins issue, and The Pact issue. Actually that looks like exactly 50 issues to me. I may be forgetting one though.

I just picked this up and read from the beginning last night, and I got through the entire thing today. It's something like 1000+ pages, it was just that good. I am a huge fan of The Walking Dead, so I thought I'd give this one a try. Kirkman really delivers.

I'm just sort of sad that I don't have any more to read right away and it will likely be a few weeks before I can pick up the next trade volume.

The only thing that aggravated me was The Pact issue. I'm not really sure what that was, but I think it must have been some kind of other Image Comics story that involved multiple Image superheroes. I was pleasantly surprised that the issue directly following this was very related to that Pact issue though.

I would recommend this to any of my friends. It comes out to less than $1 an issue or less than $4.50 per trade volume. Those things can be anywhere from $10 - $15 each. The only difference (I own trades 1-4) is that there is a lot of extra stuff at the end of each of the trades including preliminary drawings and concepts and explanations of them. If you're a huge fan of supplements, you may want to consider the trades instead, but if you just want the great story, stick with this compendium.

I've always wanted to give Invincible a try, but when I heard about this Compendium, I had to bite. The price was great compared to the list price, and you get more then the first 48 issues. You get 0-48, and 2 or 3 specials that include Invincible. This is no cheap product. The pages are in prime quality, and it is in color, unlike the Marvel Essentials from years ago. This book really made me a Invincible fan, and now I can't wait for the next Compendium to continue the adventure of Mark Grayson, Invincible.

I bought this having only seen the deluxe editions in comic stores, but blind to the material. I cracked it open last nice, and promptly read the first 13 issues without stopping; this is a very, very good comic book.

For your money, you get high-quality printing on heavy-duty paper in a binding that actually allows you to open the book without cracking the spine. It's a terrific reading experience and a great introduction to the character and the Invincible universe.

If you're mildly curious about Invincible, like I was, but haven't yet picked up the other trades, this is a no-brainer.

I was looking for a good graphic novel for my Christmas list and I was surprised to see INVINCIBLE having so many issues completed. So I purchased this very large book hoping it would be OK. I am floored how amazing this book is. Kirkman writes perfect mix of relationships, violence, mystery, and humor that any true comic book fan would love. Over the top bad guys, teen romance, super hero teams troubles, brought to the pages with some of the most amazing story telling. I could not put this book down. If you grew up loving Wolfman's Titans, or Simonson's Thor, I think you should give this a try. I thought ongoing, fun story arcs were a thing of the past. This book is a true gem!

My favorite by far. Very easy to read and flows really well. Don't get me wrong, I love comics that make you think more, like Planetary. But I feel I connect well with Mark the main character. And the plot gets better and better as you go. Enjoyable the whole way through. Love the artwork.

I love this book. I started reading Invincible comics around issue 105 so I had a lot to catch up on. If I were to buy every trade it would be a couple hundred bucks but I got this and volume 2 for about $90. It says it's the best superhero story and it really is. It plays out and more suspenseful than most movies and television shows today. I was excited every time I got to read it and I still am. 48 issues for $50 isn't a bad deal either. The book is very solid. Sometimes with bigger books you have to worry about pages detaching from the binding. I never once worried that this would happen. The only problem that some people might have, it didn't bother me however, is the weight. It's a 5 pound book and sometimes have it open in your lap can be a little precarious. I didn't have have a problem and it's not a complaint on my end but some people might feel that way. All in all, this is a great value and it really is the best comic book on the market right now, superhero or non-superhero. BUY THIS BOOK!
