5.0 out of 5 stars Music to live by.
I stumbled across this album by mistake and I am so glad fate lead me to this. This is the best album to listen to while doing almost anything: waking up, getting dressed, driving to work, doing homework, running, weight lifting, eating a steak, killing a grizzly bear with your two hands, the possibilities are endless. You will not regret buying this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great (very) commercial trailer music. But...
Well, I liked it, I can even recommend it. I believe these guys do a very good job.

However, I felt a lack of art, a lack of subtlety, a lack of equilibrium.
It's too Hollywood, too commercial, too "lets stick to the formula that works for us every single time".

There were no real risks taken, no edgy creativity, no steps up on all the trailer...

5.0 out of 5 stars I <3 Two Steps from Hell, May 20, 2010
This review is from: Invincible (MP3 Download)
I'd never thought I'd be writing a review for a Two Steps from Hell public album. I entered the trailer music scene in '08 and at that time the prospect for a possible public album was dim. How times have changed! The album itself is a collection of their most prominent tracks (at least from a public perspective). It was definitely refreshing to notice the audio quality was upped a notch due to their remastering of the tracks. "To Glory" was an unexpected and powerful surprise. I hope this project works out in the way they foresaw. Unfortunately our passion outweighs our numbers in terms of committed trailer music fans, but undoubtedly, with every Youtube user asking "What's that music?" I can finally point in them in the right direction rather than a wiki page. It would be nice to have more contributions from Pheonix for a more balanced album, but in all the album is worth its weight, and if anything the cost of the album isn't truly representative of its rather high quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best of the best, June 8, 2010

Two Steps From Hell has only just started selling their music to the public. That's because, like other "trailer music" companies, their music is normally licensed directly to the marketing departments for moves like No Country For Old Men or The Dark Knight. However, TSFH is the cream of the caviar, and online piracy (yes, unauthorized youtube uploads qualify) has built them a surprisingly large fanbase.

tldr; We are extraordinarily lucky that they have deigned to us to buy their glorious, magnificent amazingness this is so good

5.0 out of 5 stars TOTAL EPICNESS, May 20, 2010
This review is from: Invincible (MP3 Download)
I've waited a while for this album, and it's totally worth buying. Two Steps from hell has been around for a long time, and now they've finally released their first public album. Epic trailer music is probably the coolest music out there, and Two Steps From Hell makes the best of that genre. Totally worth $9. You'll hear this stuff in movie and video game commercials. It's just too awesome the pass.

5.0 out of 5 stars Man Music, July 17, 2010

This was my first taste to "trailer music." While looking at electronica bands, I somehow stumbled across an album with some sweet looking Maximus/Gladiator/300 guy on its cover with the word "INVINCIBLE" across it. It had a butload of tracks and was just too cool and so much what I was not looking for that I had to get it.

I'm happy I did that.

This whole album basically makes you want to rip off your shirt, grab a sword, and charge straight into some overwhelming army because you feel "invincible". (yeah, a bit corny I know.) I'm a landscaper, though, and when I turn on this music, nothing can stop me.

Simply put, this is man music that makes men feel they can do anything. Great for sports, hard work, movie making, and wanting to feel heroic.

4.0 out of 5 stars Epic Soundtracks, But Only A Few Have Lasting Appeal, October 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Invincible (MP3 Download)
I decided to buy this after listening to some of the tracks on Youtube, and it was a worthwhile purchase since I like listening to this type of music while working. A lot of these songs can be recognized in some popular movie and game trailers. One example, the track 'Heart of Courage' can be heard playing in the 'Voyage of the Dawn Treader' movie trailer. So, I listened to the songs, and in the end I only ended up liking 8 out of the 22 tracks. It's too bad, really, but the songs each have their own theme that match various movie settings, so there's plenty of diversity. I suggest listening to all the songs beforehand and then deciding if you'd like to buy the whole album. There's plenty of other artists out there with this type of music who have very good tracks, like Thomas Bergersen, Globus, and Immediate Music. Otherwise, these songs will make you feel like a hero in a fantastical world, that you're the survivor of a worldwide catastrophe, or that you're the mighty warrior in a battle who saves the day. It does indeed make you feel 'invincible'.

These words really don't acurately described this album. Yes it is "Trailer" music but that doesn't mean it isn't good. And most tracks are around 2 minutes which doesn't mean it won't leave a lasting impression. First time I listened to it, volume up, I literally got chills down my spine especially when the choir comes booming in. And the songs have been in my head for some time here as well. If you are a fan of orchestral arrangements/soundtracks then you will absolutely love these pieces.

I never thought I'd actually pay for a bundle of 2-minute movie trailer soundtracks featuring overwrought Wagnerian cliches drenched in reverb. But this collection is curiously addictive. It holds up under repeated listens. Great background music for yardwork, workouts or falling asleep to (no kidding).

I have always loved the power in some movie and trailer music but never knew it existed in album form. I stumbled upon this collection by what I thought was a random accident but turns out it was just what I was looking for! I read the reviews, saw the ratings, sampled, and loaded it onto my amazon cloud. I have others at work who will buy it because they heard it playing at my desk... all guys, much to my dismay. Personally, I plan on having some epic cooking sessions with this blasting in the background!
