Country music has never been my thing, but what Will Ray has done with Invisible Birds is something fantastic! The lyrical humor and Will's ever amazing guitar licks make this a pleasure to listen to time and time again. Much more than just a 'country album', it is also a mixture of blues and jazz. It makes me smile every time I listen to it, and that is what great music is all about!

Who new someone could pair world class musicain ship and whit into one album. This album is amazing. It has the feel of the beatles "Maxwells Silver Hammer" with the flare and spice of the Hellecasters. I'm am in awe at what Mr. Ray has acheived on this album.

What Will Ray has accomplished here, is combine guitar virtuosity with musical creativity. It's rare when a master of technical skills can make a recording that you very much want to listen to for the songs themselves. Invisible Birds is on heavy rotation in my player.

There are genres, sub genres, and hybrids of country, blues, jazz, and rock here with not any one tune specifically classified as any one particular thing. I think that Will's vocals are excellent also and seems to be just right with his inflections and timing.

Will's guitar work is just jaw dropping. His eclectic mix of musical creativity is mirrored by his B-Bending, Slealth Sliding, chicken pickin' fluent playing. His fretboard is a wide palette. He is not just a "lick" player, but a story teller when he takes his solos. If you like Telecaster style guitar playing/picking, this is your huckleberry. It certainly is mine.

When your expecting something like The Hellecasters you will be realy disappointed with this C.D. Only a couple of songs sounded like the Casters the rest was Way Too Country !
