Invisible Chains is a powerful look into the world of domestic violence. The author creates a tension throughout the plot that captures you at once and pulls you along for the ride. I read it in one sitting...couldn't put it down. This one has everything...mystery, a hint of romance, terror, violence, a touch of humor and well drawn, believable charactors who could be your sisters, neighbors or co-workers.
It's hard to believe that this is a first novel.
It is obvious that the author has experience and expertise in the field of family violence...this book should be required reading for everyone in that field as well as victims and their families. However, it is also a great read for anyone who enjoys a mystery thriller that grabs you with the first sentence
and doesn't let go until the bonechilling finish.

I read the book in two sittings. When I started to read, I just could not stop. The life situations of the characters really opened my eyes to both sides of the domestic violence equation. I had never really thought about the struggles of those who seek to assist individuals who are victims of domestic violence. I could tell the author was well versed in the area of domestic violence. I found the book to be well written and would recommend it to anyone whether or not the person has experienced domestic violence. The book was certainly an eye opener for me.
