A courageous book which says it like it is,
By Linda S. Heard, editor, journalist and columnist (Athens, Greece) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Invisible Enemy (Paperback)
Edward Aboud forces us to confront our own invisible enemies of cowardice and apathy when it comes to Mid-East politics. The stranglehold which the Zionist lobbies have on the media and Congress must be analysed if the US is once again to be perceived as an honest broker.Mr. Aboud has provided us with an excellent, thought-provoking read. Highly recommended.

A Searing Indictment of U.S.' Relationship with Israel,
By
This review is from: Invisible Enemy (Paperback)
This book is a searing, well documented indictment of the relationship between Israel and the U.S. The author doesnt pull any punches. He says, Israel is not our ally, and then he proves it over and over again in his hard hitting 284 page expose. Every aspect of the relationship, viewed within a broad conspiracy context, is revealed. Abbouds open windows into areas usually closed to public view, where the interest of our Republic is continuously put at risk for the sake of Israel. The Invisible Enemy, Zionist Israel, is invisible no more, thanks to the hard work of Edward Abboud. All Americans who love their country, owe this intrepid author a debt of gratitude for writing this book.

Every American should read Invisible Enemy,
By Richard W Hobbs (Nevada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Invisible Enemy (Paperback)
This is an extremely important book that should be read by every American. Unfortnately, the American people have been subjected to disinformation and lies concerning the American relationship with Israel for over 50 years. The result has been thousands of Americans killed and more in the future. People like Irwin Graulich and Daniel Pipes should not be listened to on this subject because their loyalty lies outside this country. They would censor what you are allowed to read and burn all books or articles that say anything at all critical of the US Government's blind support of Israel. Educate yourself AMERICA and tell your elected officials to put America first and not be subservient to the political pressure of AIPAC and the religious right which have their own agenda, which does not coincide with the national interests of America.

Invisible Enemy,
By "white-anglo-saxon-muslim" (London, United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Invisible Enemy (Paperback)
Abboud’s powerful new book, Invisible Enemy, explains how Israel, in a new kind of war, extracts $5 billion to $12 billion a year from the United States. Chapters two and three on conspiracy and propaganda are scholarly/theoretical, and will be heavy reading for many people. Thereafter Abboud, a student of propaganda techniques, really gets rolling in chapters on the mass media, television and cinema, American society, the U.S. government and religious wars/ancient hatreds.Take the example of the 60 or more misleadingly named pro-Israel political action committees. What American would ever suspect their true purpose: to elect congressmen and senators ready to give Israel what it wants. Such Zionist creations as Delaware Valley PAC or San Franciscans for Good Government can and have ganged up, in violation of electoral campaign finance laws, to play tricks on the American people by electing politicians they like and defeating those they don’t. The disturbing thesis of Invisible, supported by mountains of evidence, is that Zionism targets virtually every American institution and individual on behalf of the state of Israel. Only Judaism are bathed in a rosy media light. Abboud documents that, since the late 1940s (when Israel was established), Zionism has tried to establish a link between a collective worldwide guilt for the Holocaust and support for Israel. Professor Jack Shaheen has documented the traditional Hollywood hatefulness of dumping on Arabs. Abboud illustrates Zionism’s relentless media campaign of making “symbolic transfers” between Nazis/Arabs and all other ethnic and religious groups. The Catholic Church is a favorite target. Abboud quotes a former secretary of the treasury as describing “how the national news media delight in portraying the Catholic Church as an intolerant and anachronistic institution, out of touch with the times.” Arabs and Islam are fair game in Hollywood and on television. He lists 43 films since 1967 that glorify Israeli leaders and vilifiy Arabs. Abboud documents the extraordinary numbers of Jewish officials in the Clinton administration. The phenomenon was so outlandish, given Jews are only 2 percent of the American population, that some observers referred to Clinton’s as “the first all-Zionist administration.” The mainline media never mentioned that ethnic imbalance. Another example of an ethnically imbalanced institution Abboud cites is National Public Radio. At NPR, he said, “More Jews present more news about more Jews more often than any other radio or television station outside of Israel.” He describes the photos in the lobby of the NPR headquarters in Washington listing editors and producers. The photos of the janitorial staff are there, too. The purpose? To try to conceal the heavy ethnic imbalance. This is the first potent strike by an Arab-American against the Zionist takeover of America.

Many American Jews will attempt to review this book by potraying themselves as unbiased Americans with no connection to the Jewish Faith or Israel, but these so called reviewers are most likely working for the Anti Defamation League or B'nai B'rith to try to discredit the book to discourage people from reading it. I wouldn't be surprised if they perpetrate an organized buying of this book so that it is out of stock or that it ships in a month to further discourage interested parties. I say this because that was indeed the case in regards to availability of this book. There is nothing but facts in this book, as Israel has contravened more than 40 UN resolutions, has Nuclear Weapons while other middle-east countries are threatened with invasion for even thinking about having them. If the Americans want a Nuclear Free Middle-East, then it should start in Israel. It can be guaranteed that if America stopped supporting the Jewish Israeli State, there would be no attacks or threats or a 911.

In Memory of a Brave American-Arab writer,
This review is from: Invisible Enemy: Israel, Politics, Media, and American Culture (Paperback)
I met Edward Abboud for the first time in early October of 2007 in a small coffee shop in downtown Columbus, Ohio. He wanted to give me a copy of his book, 'Invisible Enemy.' I left for Florida right after that and began reading it on the airplane.
I read it in the terminal. I read it at my sister's. I could not put it down. This book took me through the crisis in the U.S., what caused it, the results it has produced in our society and explains why people go along with 'the plan.' Explaining and citing everything he writes, he explains with psychological and sociological explanations how people are misled and influenced by the media. Mr. Abboud (not his real name) had this book reprinted in 2003. He had been under attack from the Zionist-Jewish media for decades because of his views. His career was ruined, he could not get a job any longer, his web site (VoxPublishing.com) had been knocked down and mutilated several times. He was not only hiding, he was scared. When he complained to the police about death threats, they did nothing. He called Representative Deborah Pryce about it, she told the police, and CPD Lt. Bowditch, of the Terrorism Tip Line, met him at a coffee shop in the Short North and arrested him. He was kept in the Franklin County jail for two weeks, then released. This information is also on his Vox site. His family, he told me, being Lebanese, was frightened and told him not to use his real name in writing this book. He changed the spelling slightly. Then he changed his real name to Edward Richardson. None of this did any good. On October 26, a Friday, he ended his life, unable to deal with the rejection, the isolation and humiliation any longer. His book stands as a brilliant tribute to an American man who described himself as a Media Terrorist. He was a good, gentle man. Susan Purtee Columbus, Ohio

Raises serious and troubling issues,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Invisible Enemy: Israel, Politics, Media, and American Culture (Paperback)
Invisible Enemy: Israel, Politics, Media, And American Culture by Edward Abboud is a strongly worded adversarial criticism of the nation of Israel's diverse and continuing attempts to manipulate American public opinion and governmental policy through the American mass media. Thoughtful dissections of the subtle messages in everything from television interviews, to movies such as "Independence Day", as well as harsh criticisms of tendencies to focus upon the 6 million Jewish victims of the Holocaust while strategically ignoring the millions of non-Jewish victims, the down-play of Israel's endemic acts of brutality against its Palestinian citizens, and more, make Invisible Enemy a thought-provoking and challenging account that raises serious and troubling issues -- and the basis for lively political discussions in view of America's current military and political interventions in the Israeli/Palestinian "peace process".

Frank discussion,
By A Customer
This review is from: Invisible Enemy (Paperback)
Frank discussion of why the U.S. blindly sends billions of dollars each year to such a small country that has little economic significance to ours, and why we (lawmakers and private citizens alike) are so afraid to question it. Also, how and why that tiny country surprisingly wields such control and influence over many aspects of our lives, including the "news" and media we have access to. This is not the typical discussion of Mideast politics -- this is really about external control over U.S. politics and our media. ....

The utter debasement of the anti-Israel argument in the US,
This review is from: Invisible Enemy: Israel, Politics, Media, and American Culture (Paperback)
For an example of the utter debasement of the anti-Israel argument in the United States, go no further than Invisible Enemy, a quite stunning screed. Abboud's thesis is apparent from his title: that Israel is in fact, despite widespread ignorance of this fact, the enemy of the United States. Indeed, Israel poses "beyond a doubt the most serious threat to U.S. democratic institutions, freedom, and society since the Civil War." At the high end, Israel "can control the outcome" of many decisions from the White House, the Senate, and the media, even as its agents are "effectively in control" of the CIA. At the low end, Israel floods the mean streets with assault weapons, leading to a "spree of street crime unique to the civilized world." Abboud finds all this leads to high crime rates, high divorce rates, and low military morale. He blames weak American presidents for allowing this terrible things to happen.
The reason no one knows about this is a vast conspiracy by Israel's agents. Thus does one find at PBS, for instance, that the "censors" have carefully presented an image of Jews "as Americans caught up in American traditions." At the same time, Jewish control of the media insures the production of "racist" movies such as Fiddler on the Roof. Trouble is, our author never explains why Israel, which depends heavily on American support, should want its main ally weakened as he describes. Maybe that will be the subject of the eagerly-awaited volume two. |
