AS A CHILEAN I KNOW THE BAND SINCE 1987-1988, AND CLEARLY THIS IS THE FIRST ALBUM YOU SHOULD BUY. THE LEAD VOCALIST, BETO CUEVAS, SPEAKS FLUENTLY SPANISH, ENGLISH AND FRENCH, DUE TO THE YEARS HE SPENT LIVING IN CANADA. LATER YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIR MORE TECHNO-POP-NEW WAVE INFLUENCED ALBUMS: "DOBLE OPUESTO" (1991), "LA LEY" (1992) AND, ESPECIALLY "LA LEY DE LA LEY" (1994) WHICH IS A COMPILATION OF THE PREVIOUS. SADLY THEIR FIRST TWO ALBUMS "LA LEY" (1988) AND "DESIERTOS" (1989) WHICH WERE EDITED IN TAPE FORMAT ONLY, ARE LARGELY UNAVAILABLE AND HAVE NEVER BEEN AVIALABLE IN CD. THEN YOU CAN TRY THE MORE TECHNOLOGICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL "VERTIGO"(1998) AND THE CURRENT SUCCESS "UNO" (2000). IN MY OPINION THEY ARE THE BEST POP-ROCK CHILEAN GROUP OF THE NINETIES, AND ONWARDS. A MUST HAVE!!

As a die-hard fan of this Chilean rock band, I have to say that even four years after the release of their most successful album, INVISIBLE is their trademark, and with good reason. INVISIBLE offers that unique blend of songs sung in Spanish, English and French that range from melancholic ballads to a couple of punkish tracks. Their biggest hit from INVISIBLE has to be "Día Cero", also my favorite. "Día Cero" besides making the most of a compelling melody and Beto Cuevas' sultry voice, offers a glimpse into the inner-workings of the band through the lyrics. INVISIBLE is a tribute to Andrés Bobe, the band's original guitarist, who perished in a motorcycle accident months before the release of the album.This album was the one to introduce me, as well as many other of their fans to La Ley's eclectic and passionate style. If you had to have just one of their albums, it should be INVISIBLE. Still, I recommend all of their albums. They are the best ever!!!

This is the best album that La Ley has released, hands down. The songs have depth, the music is clean and tight. I own a lot of music, and this album is in my top 5 (regardless of language). I also think that this album is great for people who don't speak spanish but are interested in hearing what a great latin rock band sounds like. I've played this album for many of my non-spanish speaking friends, and they love it. I hope that La Ley's next release is a greatest hits with their previous albums remastered (and maybe a little remixing to). I HIGHLY recommend this album. If you were to buy only one La Ley album, this should be it.

I'm not a big fan of La Ley, but I will admit that this one has some excellent tunes. The first 3 songs "animal","Dia cero" and "el duelo"(which they recently recorded live with elly guerra)are all cool, and then the best song is the title track "invisible". La Lay writes some excellent pieces, the only thing that sometimes bugs me though is the singer, Beto Cuevas, on some parts he just sounds too forced, but on this record for the most part he sounds alright compared to oher La Ley recordings. Also there are a couple tunes in English, one of them being "the corridor" which is a haunting piece, and Beto actually sounds good in English (also see the hidden track on the "uno" record). This is one that belongs in any rock fans collection.

Absolutely splendid. The best latin rock album I have yet to purchase and hear. The album provides both a soft and sentimental sound in songs like "The Corridor" and "Dia 0", as well as a fast and upbeat rock with great drumline in "El Duelo". "Animal" is a great first track that kind of sets the mood of the album, with a great intro and some deep lyrics. While "Invisible", "1-800 Dual", "Fausto" and "El Rey" are not characterized as the best songs in the album simply because they were matched up with songs like "Cielo Market", a piece explaining the tragic side of humans and their egoism. It is impossible to pick a favorite song from this album since they are all so very well written and produced. This is La Ley's most elucrative and colorful album, it will surely be considered as one of the latin rock classics. With Pedro Frugone's first appearance as a band member, the sounds of Bobe will never be forgotten, but the new lineup of La Ley falls nothing short of its accustomed quality.

This Cd is their best and would always be their best. The songs in this Cd are what La Ley is made of. Their best song in this Cd is El Duelo (of course). Animal, Dia cero, Invisible, Cielo Market, El Rey are also great. It will be tough for La Ley to make a Cd better than this one because they have not done it yet.

La Ley was an amazing group that came out from Chile to Latin America in the early 90's, their first three albums are classics in the spanish rock genre. Like a great band they were, all of their elements were very important, Bobe (guitar), Cuevas (vocals), Rojas(bass), Claveria (drums) & Aboitiz (synths). Their sound was very exciting and enigmatic. Then in 1994 Andres Bobe died in a motorcycle accident, he was replaced very well by Pedro Frugone, who had a very different style than Bobe, they got in the studio and recorded this album, a tribute to their gone friend. This is their best album, everything comes together here. Even tough Frugone plays all the guitar here, you can still feel the lingering presence of Bobe, who wrote "El Duelo" one of their best songs of all time (this song was terribly degraded when they performed it in their unplugged with Ely Guerra who instead of singing screams like a cat trying to mate). "Dia Cero" has a memorable guitar riff that makes you think was done by a synth. "Cielo Market" is an amazing pop rock song with a great bass line and lyrics talk about people's obsession with the show biz. The rest of the songs are great, except RNR (bad lyrics). After this album Cuevas took control of the group and they started firing some of their key musicians (Aboitiz & Rojas), and this can explain why they are so mediocre these days. Avoid their last three albums (uno, MTV uplugged & libertad), get their first three (Doble Opuesto, La Ley & Invisible).

i was first introduced to la ley by a good friend. im glad that this occured because now they are one of my favorite bands. in my opinion this is their best work ever, the music is great and offers different styles all in one. i love the way the band sings in spanish, english and french. i'd love to see more artists express music in different languages; that is just so universal and somehow makes a deeper connection with an audience. my fav tracks would have to be "dia cero", "deuxieme fois" and "fausto", hands down. "deuxieme fois", sung in french, is a mellow soothing song, although somewhat a bit of a sad song to listen to... in contrast, "fausto" is the song i can barely listen to without wanting to get up and dance... the guitars in that song are amazing, and the lyrics are just beautiful and sexy to listen to...
one for any rock fans out there!

This CD is amazing! It is one of their best productions, so it's a must-buy!
