1.0 out of 5 stars What A Mess, August 15, 2009
This review is from: Invisible (DVD)
A supposed genius musician / sound man, becomes obssessed with a woman's voice, Lisa, on a phone chat line. The chat line is one of these everyone talks at once and you try to connect with somebody. Lisa ends up calling Bruno back. They meet several times in a hotel room, the only rule, no lights. In the meantime, Bruno is supposed to cut a new album, make a deal with a record company. He ends up sleeping with Carole Stevens the record producer. But he's still obssessed with Lisa, because now she can't be found. He runs around trying to find her.

If the plt sounds awful, it is. Does it make sense, not really. 1/2 of the movie is Bruno laying around listening to his recordings of the chat line and Lisa and him in the hotel room. Another 1/4 is spent listening to some of the worst music ever recorded. And the last 1/4 is inky dark images of him with various women naked in hotel rooms (there's not much visible by the way).

I couldn't make any sense out of this film. It felt like it was trying to be that minimalist avant garde cinema. But it actually was more like just a badly made film.

Pass this one by.
