When the dark stranger enters the village pub, muffled up to the chin, with hat, dark glasses and bandaged head, the narrow-minded locals are intimidated and suspicious. The mysterious man is a brash young scientist named Griffin who, in the course of his own experiments on himself, has become invisible--and criminally insane. Hounded out of town by villagers who discover his dark secret, Griffin's malice and invisibility prove a lethal combination.
