Like many others, I went through case after case for my ipod. While some were good and others were bad, nothing has compared to the Invisible Shield. I used to use the Belkin Remix Acrylic Case predominately, but I would still have to worry about it getting scratched from outdoor use or the case popping open. I travel alot with my ipod in some rugged terrain and I have to say that hands down the Invisi Shield is the best protection. Of course, if it hits the ground hard enough it is still going to break so that is why I rated protection at 4/5. But, that goes for pretty much any plastic or acrylic case as well. Drop protection is really a crapshoot more or less. The main thing is once you have your shield on, it is pretty much scratch-proof. When I first pulled the shield out of the package I thought installation would be very difficult, but as long as you follow the directions and have some patience it works out fine. I've had mine on since February '09 and it's on to stay.

Highly recommend this product especially if you are a first-time buyer of ipod cases.

These shield are the best I have ever used. They are practically indestructible. I also have one on my Blackberry, which constantly rubs up against the other set of keys in my purse. Not one single scratch is on it! I would buy these for every electronic screen I have.

I've purchased Invisible Shields for all my electronic devices for about 6 years now and have been highly satisfied with them all.
This one was no exception.
I actually purchased this for my 7th gen iPod Classic 160GB, and it fits just fine.

One word of warning: do not use the protector for the click wheel; the sensitivity drops far too much, drastically affecting functionality (can't scroll continuously, so cannot quickly move through long lists of songs).

Installation went well; be patient and calm. *grin*

I am a big fan of the 6G iPod 120gb's thinness, which makes it a great pocket player. I also am a big fan of the player's looks. The question was, how do I keep my player looking new and scratch-free without compromising its form factor with a case? I stumbled upon the Zagg Invisible Shield while trying to find an answer to my question... I bought one, and swiftly botched the installation. You know why? Because I didn't take the time to go online and watch the videos on how to install these first. That's the key- their videos are short, concise, and I swear to you this thing is easily applied if you take but one moment to watch how it's done. My [second] installation was perfect- no bubbles, no imperfections, no sweat. You can't even tell the iPod is wearing a layer of what is essentially scratch-proof, indestructible plastic film. I am definitely a believer in Zagg products now. Keep your cool form-factor and appearance, lose the bulky case.

I bought this with high expectations from over ZAGG products I have installed, but I don't know what happened. The front kind of fits, but there seems to be a micro inch of over hang on all sides and the back is TOO SMALL!!! When you line up the on/off switch cut out and headphone jack cutout, it does not extend all the way to the bottom and then the corners overlap and crease on top of each other. Even on the front, the cutout for the center circle of the navigation wheel was cut horribly and is 'choppy' all around the edge along with being noticeably smaller than the circle it is intended for. Now there is junk all over the back of the iPod. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you have a 80GB Video iPod Classic. It is not the correct product. For some reason ZAGG lists this product separately and not as the classic as Apple does. [...]. [...]. Then again, it is the consumer's responsibility to know this, woe on me. lol.

As a "non techy kind of person", the package contents were a little intimidating when I opened it, but applying the invisible shield actually was very, very easy. I was worried about air bubbles underneath the shield - but I used the straight edge that was provided and everthing came out perfectly. I'm very pleased with the product, each little nook and cranny fits my 80/120 GB iPod classic perfectly and it still fits into my charger with no problem.

First off, I didn't get the cover for the iPod Classic. It was the same model as the one for the 5.5G iPod. This will fit a Classic, but the actual Classic model fits better and provides better coverage with a more detailed cutout shape. Second, Invisible Shield will NOT honor the warranty if it is purchased from Amazon or any seller on Amazon, as they're not an authorized reseller. So, if you have any issues, you're SOL like I was.

That being said, these things are amazing. A bit difficult to apply properly, but once it's on, your iPod is completely safe from scratching. The video on their website is no BS: you really can scratch at it with your keys, and it won't touch the iPod. I can't emphasize how effective these are. I carry my iPod around in a pocket with a set of keys and an uncapped USB flash drive, and while this would ruin an iPod normally, mine doesn't have a scratch. I got one for my phone, too (they make them for everything from phones and iPods, to laptops, to wiimotes). It makes it easy to clean fingerprints off a screen, too, as you don't have to worry about scratching the screen.

In conclusion, highly recommended, jut make sure you buy from one of their authorized resellers if you want warranty service.

I can't say enough positives about this product. I own it for my cell phones, iPods and tablets. It truly does what it says it does, and customer service is a dream to work with. You tell them you need a replacement, they send it, and you return your original. Perfect.

This product truly is amazing! It took me almost two hours to get it installed on my iPod and have it line up with everything perfectly, but once it is on it does the job extremely well. My iPod still looks like it did when it came out of the package!

Excellent converage, It is easy to install. It does not affect your ability to use the touch screen, nor the touch feeling of the original Ipad screen. ON the whole a good adon for your machine
