This is the best full body protector I have purchased. I've used the iskin screen protector which was good, but made the screen quality look bad. I tried a few other clear and colored screen protectors, but by far this one exceeds them all. I've had it since December 2007 and it still appears flawless and fits into all of my cases. I am currently using the elan touch leather case, but alternate between my vaja i-volution and iskin touch. Granted it took me a few tries to position the protector right, but as long as you READ and FOLLOW the directions it's a piece of cake. Here's the simplified version:(You still have to read and follow them though.)
1. clean the surface area with a lint free cloth
2. apply the spray liquid that came with the shield to your FINGERS, so the shield does not stick to them.
3. apply the spray to the surface of the ipod, it needs to be fairly moist, NOT SOAKED, NOT A SNEEZE.
4. position the film on the ipod, if you need to reposition make sure your FINGERS are wet with the spray so the shield does not stick to them and keep the surface of the ipod moist as well.
5. use the squeegee to excrete the remaining liquid from between the ipod and the shield. DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE SMALLER BUBBLES! They dissipate when the sheild settles. (It also says this in the instructions.)

Take a look at my pictures. Remember it's been on since December and it still looks outstanding! The little scratches you see on the back of my iPod are on the iPod itself, not the shield. This product is great and you can hardly tell its there. JUST MAKE SURE TO KEEP THE SURFACE MOIST WHEN INSTALLING, LIKE TINTING CAR WINDOWS.

I bought this for my boyfriend, a self-professed anal nerd when it comes to his electronics, and he loves it. He bought the ipod touch several months ago and refused to take it out of the box because he didn't want a single scratch on it. This is a great way to prevent that while still retaining the sleek styling of the Touch. He said that application was difficult and took a long time because he couldn't tolerate the air bubbles (which will eventually work themselves out for the most part). He got it on and it looks awesome - a seamless protector for a cool gadget. It is holding up well too, keeping scratches from keys and other sharp objects away. He said the application time was worth the aggravation and gave it 2 thumbs up.

For the price, the full body Invisible Shield is not worth it. It only protects your player or phone from scratches. I suggest purchasing the screen shield only, and then securing the body of your player with a hard case. I also think the company's advertising is misleading, when it comes to the claim of "full body" protection. In reality, you only receive two sheets of film. One for screen and the other for the rear body. Which, in my opinion is not "full body" protection. May they should claim "full scratch" protection. I think that description would be more accurate and sincere, for the "average consumer's" expectations.

Pros:
1. The screen shield (only) is easy to apply.

2. The screen shield does work as advertised, if applied correctly.

3. Once applied, the touch screen will still operate as before.

Cons:
1. Too pricey for (2) sheets of clear film.

2. Difficult to install on the rear body of player, especially when
installing around the corners and hard to reach areas.

3. Doesn't offer the same protection as a hard case, if dropped.

Alright before I start off, YOU NEED SOME PATIENCE TO APPLY THIS CORRECTLY. Now that thats out of the way. The product protects the ipod very well against scratches and such. It actually makes the screen scrolling easier in my opinion. If you take your time and use enough of the supplied spray it will function and look perfect.

I like to carry an iPod Touch in my trousers pocket and needed to protect the screen without adding bulk. The Invisible Shield is perfect for this use. It does require patience and care to get on correctly. You also need to make sure your screen is absolutely clean when you apply the shield. Apparently, a small piece of foreign matter settled on my screen or the adhesive side of the shield just before I put it on. There's no going back to remove it, but it is just a minor annoyance. Overall, I'm happy with the product.

This product is great for allowing you direct access to your ipod without having to worry about scratches or scuffs - I also think it improves the looks of the whole ipod (including viewing screen). I only wish there was someway to practice - I did mine and then did my husband's nano and did a better job after I had done it once. I was just a fraction of an inch off on the front - nobody else would catch it, but it bugs me. I plan get one for my phone and camera screen!

I only gave this four stars because of the price, i think it's kinda too expensive for 2 pieces of plastic and a very tiny bottle of water solution if you ask me.

THIS IS NOT A HARD CASE, so for those of you who are too stupid to read the product description and then later write a negative review because of your own retarded mistake, then that's your own fault.

This is great. It's so thin you can hardly see it unless you look closely at the edges, most of my friends who use or look at my ipod touch without its case don't even know it's on until I tell them, it's completely clear, A TAD bit tricky to apply, but not rocket science, don't worry about small bubbles, they disappear in time eventually.

Those worrying about some ipod touch capabilities such as the light sensor, and the wifi antenna need not worry, they work perfectly with this on. And those worrying about the touch capabilities with this on...I will tell you this: I would probably almost hate my ipod touch if it weren't for this protector, the ipod touch's screen is highly sensitive and although this only ads a TINY bit more friction, that friction is just enough to make the sensitivity of the ipod touch perfect for me. You can try and try and try again but you will never ever scratch the back of the highly scratchable back of the ipod touch with this shield on. And it will not come off unless you try to take it off. Finger prints and smudges can occur but are very simple to shine off with the buff of your shirt or any cloth. I had my ipod touch out in the open for JUST TWO DAYS before receiving this shield in the mail and even though I was VERY VERY careful with it, I managed to get a few faint scratches on it, after 7 months of having my 32GB ipod touch, I wouldn't even want to imagine how scratched up the back of my device would be without this. It looks the same as it did 2 days after I got it and I know if I were to sell it on ebay or something when the new ipod touch comes out (probably this year), I could sell it as a like-new condition item.

Again though, this is NOT a hard case, if you're going to buy this, I suggest you buy a case to put on top of it, this is so thin that the touch will fit into any case with it on. I got this strictly for appearances so that my ipod wouldn't get scratched up ONLY. this will definitely NOT protect your touch from falling on a hard surface.

This is the case I recommend, it's high quality leather, at a good price and even works along with your ipod touch's light sensor, I almost never take it off. You can sync, charge, and listen to your ipod with this on and although it has a clip, it doesn't add any bulk to your ipod and the clip is leather covered, unremoveable, but not thick at all. I thought the clip would be a burden at first but it proved to be actually helpful when my touch was in my pocket. This case also has a little pocket that's great for holding ID cards, your license even, cash, or the black cloth that your touch comes with.

If I were to give one piece of advice, it would be to only buy the back shield if possible.

I have one of these on my Apple iPod touch 16 GB (1st Generation) OLD MODEL but only ended up putting on the back shield. The silver backplate of the iPod Touch is what scratches pretty badly. The front glass that covers the screen is pretty durable and hasn't scratched in the 2 years I've had my iPod. If you're careless with your device, however, and keep it in the same pocket as your keys or something, you should definitely use the screen shield too.

Applying these shields isn't horribly difficult if you follow the instructions carefully or even watch a video on YouTube which shows how to do it. Unlike other adhesive shields, you can apply the invisibleShield and make adjustments before fixing it in place. This is kind of nice because it's hard to get everything lined up on the first shot. For example, because the iPod Touch is so thin, the tabs that wrap around the sides and corners of the device can be a pain to get to stick. You basically have to squeegee out the liquid to make it tacky and then hold the tabs down for a few seconds so they stick. (If you don't understand what I mean by "squeegee out the liquid", you will if you buy one of these shields.)

Overall I would recommend the invisibleShield but would also caution you to take your time applying it so you get it on right. If you do get it right, it'll stick forever and give your iPod the best protection possible!

The Invisible shield does exactly what it says it does, *if you apply it correctly*.

If you were (or are) good at putting decals on models (wet them, wait till the right moment, and apply and smooth quickly) you will love this product. No it does not cover 100% of the Ipod, and it provides only minimal impact protection, but it does cover about 97% of the unit (make sure you get the right one, 1G, 2G, etc) and provides an excellent scratch resistance.

One tip, to seal the corners and edges, I applied the front (easiest part), then after applying the back, I placed a paper towel folded like 4 times on the front to fit, then tightly wrapped in clinging plastic wrap and let sit overnight to cure. When I unwrapped the next morning I had a beautifully, nearly hermetically sealed unit.

If you got the skillz, I highly recommend. If not, consider yourself cautioned, and please don't post a "I couldn't make it work after 3 hours and 2 quarts of squirting" kind of review. :?)

I love how this product works. protects my ipod from scratches and its been on over a year and i still have no problems
