This review is from: An Invitation to An Extraordinary Life: A Guide to Discovering, Organizing, and Manifesting the Things that Really Matter to You (Paperback)
Having read many other books on personal growth, I'm delighted, fascinated, impressed and amused by the refreshingly innovative approach of Anacaria Myrrha's book. I'm also delighted with her suggestion in the book of allowing oneself a full year for the process of discovering, organizing, and manifesting the things that really matter, when some other writers state, or imply, that a week is sufficient. I look forward with pleasure to accepting the invitation!

5.0 out of 5 stars A rich piece of perfect N.Y. cheescake -- and calorie free!, February 12, 2012

This review is from: An Invitation to An Extraordinary Life: A Guide to Discovering, Organizing, and Manifesting the Things that Really Matter to You (Paperback)
I have been privileged to enjoy Anacaria's friendship, collaboration and professional support for more than 20 years through my own evolution as a coach of Natural Order. I could hardly wait to receive my copy of her book. When it arrived, I knew from the first sentence that it was going to be fabulous -- every page a treat to the visual eye and the self-inquiring mind. I have not been disappointed. Quite the opposite: totally delighted.

Of all the spiritually-oriented, personal growth and practical change books I've read (certainly dozens, if not hundreds), few authors' voices have felt as authentically welcoming, calming, reassuring, encouraging -- and connected to the Real Source of personal prosperity and order. Her writing style carries such elegance, clarity and compassion, and it flows so smoothly from one thought to another, like a gentle river or a beautiful piece of music. It floats me along almost effortlessly through the self-discovery process, which I have often found to be painfully confronting, but not this time. Plus, I just love her perceptive spiritual approach to the fundamental pragmatic issues of dealing with the "stuff" of life.

I am especially enjoying reading this book slowly from the start, appreciating each chapter's wisdom and engaging in the practices as they unfold -- totally out of type for me, because I usually gobble up a book quickly first, like a hungry bear, then go back to nibble and ferret out pertinent details. This one, however, deserves to be discovered like a rich piece of perfect New York cheesecake with fresh organic berries -- at a leisurely pace, savoring each delicious bite of multifaceted flavor... Mmmm, so yummy!

If you are someone intent on creating an Extraordinary Life for yourself, the wisdom in this book will infallibly guide you there, with minimum struggle or "effort" and maximum ease. And when you arrive at your destination, you and Anacaria will be good friends, too. Enjoy the journey! Send postcards along the way. Blessings....
