The Getting to Know God and the ABC's of Salvation articles in the front of this Bible explains salvation in simple terms - salvation is a simple concept and this Bible keeps it that way. It says everything I want to say to my family and friends but I just can't find the right words. This Bible is inexpensive enough to purchase several and give as gifts when the right opportunity presents itself. Highly recommended.

The positives,

- A true replication of the NIV NT

- Small enough to put in a back pocket or small carry on when boarding a plane or jumping in the car

- The extras, such as ABC of salvation, NT overview, and inclusion of Psalms are a nice touch

Concerns

- The print is pretty small, which for me and many others, means having a pair of reading glasses nearby will be helpful if not essential. This unfortunately is not always convenient or possible.

- The text on each page continues far toward the middle (spine) of the book, requiring pressing the page down near the middle to read the text. Since these pages are glued to the spine and not sewn, Im assuming it wont be long before pages start seperating from the spine and falling out. But not a huge issue at $6.

Overall happy with the item and the ability to have Christs words nearby without carrying an entire bible. Just wish the print was larger.

I have found this new testament (NIV) to be a particularly effective tool in sharing the Gospel for many years. The words "written by man" (introduction, ABC's of salvation, etc.) are truly inspired and succinct, able to persuade in a truthful way. It is a nice size with quality construction throughout. Expensive, though.....
