I wish this brother gets the recognition that he so rightly deserves been a long time listener of his music he has always been consistent with each release but proper due still havent been giving to this man .. For you that like Smooth Contemporary Jazz with a little bit of R&b over tones throwin in this is the cd for you .. For quiet nights by yourself or with some one .. or just crusing on a warm night this is it for you

Will Downing has made a lot of beautiful music in his career, so it's hard to pick a favorite. But if I had to narrow it down, it would be this classy and very inviting album.

"Island," with its exotic instrumentation and backing vocals may be the most delightfully different song Will has ever sung. I heard it on the radio years ago on a smooth jazz station that no longer exists. But I wouldn't squeeze "Island" into the suffocating category of smooth jazz that makes so many music lovers cringe. Let's just say that "Island" is a bountiful escape to a distant shore beckoning romance and adventure. A truly unforgettable song.

The rest of the album leans more towards Will's signature sound skillfully blending jazz, soul, and his own unique brand of musical magic. Some stand-out songs include the lush "All About You," the tender "Come to Me" and the timeless "When Sunny Gets Blue."

This is one of my cherished albums, and I'm very picky about my music. If I had to name my top 10 CD's, "Invitation Only" would definitely make the list. God bless Will Downing!

I really did not begin to appreciate the talent of Will Downing until recently, although I have always heard and listened to his music....But lately I have really begun to enjoy and appreciate what he has to offer. I love this CD!!!! His voice is so soothing, no matter what your mood is, listening to this CD will definitely relax you...In my opinion the first 4 songs are the best, but the entire CD is great! My favorite of all is "All about you"....... I just ordered two more of his CD's...

He was scheduled for a concert here in Philly two weeks ago, but cancelled due to illness. I look forward to his return....

To put it simply, Will Downing can sing to me anytime/any day. I love this CD so much I have two copies (one for work/travel and one for home). I was a fan prior to this CD and this sealed it for me. Will has that smooth/jazzy/soulful mis that I'm always looking for.

You have no idea what you're missing. Thank you Will for inviting me. I gladly accept your invitation. On "Island" you can almost smell the ocean and feel the sand beneath your feet." "If She Knew" is the kind of song I wish someone was singing about me. "Come To Me" is seduction at it's finest. An incredible remake of "When Sunny Gets Blue" is one of the highlights. One of my favorites is "Before We Say Goodbye" with the late Art Porter. At the end of the song you can hear how much he's going to miss his friend as we all will. Unfortunately, Will Downing does not get the credit he is due. I have every cd by him and I consider myself a huge fan. Please, buy this cd. If you've never heard him, this is the one you should give a chance. I love him. He's an incredible vocalist!

I was recently introduced to Will Downing and he's amazing! The best romantic music since Barry White! I'm particularly moved by "If She Knew". It's amazing to me how much he speaks to my thoughts on this very topic. This was his first CD for me to buy, but it won't be the last by far.

Will Downing has one of the smoothest voices I have ever heard! All of his music is great for time with that special someone, or a nice long drive.

This man has an absolutely gorgeous voice,so distinct,so deep,so sexxxy.He can sing me lullabys anytime but he doesnt get half the credit he so desperately deserves.I liked when he sang You Sure Love To Ball on the Marvin Is 60 tribute cd to Marvin Gaye.He has plenty of his own greats but this is surely one of his best cd's.

"Angel", "Island", "If She Knew" and "When Sunny Gets Blue" are among the most heartfelt and romantic soul ballads recently recorded. Will Downing's ultra-smooth baritone voice instantly puts you in a romantic mood. Wether you listen to this CD in the wee hours of the morning at your local cocktail lounge or while having a candlelight dinner with a special someone or during lovemaking it is sure to please. This is one invitation I'll gladly accept time and time again.

I got this album back in 1998 for V-tines Day and it still is among my top favorites. I go back and listen to it quite often and even play it at work. Eternal Love and Island are among my top fav's but this is a MOOD SETTER...be cautious LOL!!
