A great resource for middle and high school teachers.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Invitations to Science Inquiry (Paperback)
This Book contains over 350 science demonstrations that challenge students to think. Each activity is one page and has a section covering materials, procedure, questions and explanation. The index is useful in finding that demonstration you need for a certain topic. Liem covers such topics as Air, Weather, Matter, Chemistry, Energy, Heat, Magnetism, Electricity, Light, Sound, Force and Motion, Space Science, Plants, and the Human Body. This is a must for all Middle and High School Science Teachers.

Great resource for any science classroom.,

I bought this book to help adjust to curriculum changes in the classroom. What I found was a great resource of mini-experiments and demonstrations that spark students curiosity and get them asking questions. Some of these experiments are not easy and can really challenge a teacher to set up and use. Others are pretty sensitive and take time and trial-and-error before you get it right. But in the long run the concepts taught and the discussions that can be developed are well worth the effort. A great book for any science teacher looking to bring some inquiry and thought to their teaching!

Liem Science Inquiry,

This review is from: Invitations to Science Inquiry (Hardcover)
Picked this book up after recommendations from my master's science methods instructor's review. It's amazing and very inspirational for classroom use. Especially enjoy the easy to create demonstrations with suggested questions and explanations for what is taking place. Even though it's out of print and therefore difficult to get a hold of (and a little on the expensive side) it is totally worth it. I really look forward to utilizing this in my classroom!
