An Emotional/Spiritual Staple,
By
This review is from: Invocations: Calling Forth The Light That Heals (Paperback)
Spirituality made practical - that's what this powerful little handbook is all about. The prayers are insightful and inspirational while the text remain humanly poignant. If you thought spirituality had nothing to do with your day to day life, think again. This book elegantly brings the two paths together in order to make ones life better, more peaceful, happier - all the ingredients necessary to entice the things that we desire into our lives. A must have book. You will use it every day.

Peaceful moments in a difficult day,
By Jeannie Parkman (Orange, California, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Invocations: Calling Forth The Light That Heals (Paperback)
I have always used prayer to center me and bring me closer to God, however, using Invocations as my guide, I find myself much more peacful. I am caring for many people, including a terminally ill mother, a demented 96 year old grandmother, a 4 1/2 year old free spirit, and a husband and home business...I carry my new favorite book everywhere, carefully marked in my favorite places for quick help. I have read "everything" and nothing has helped me find peace so quickly and completely, in the moments I need it most.

The Truth of Love,
By John Mullican (Los Angeles, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Invocations: Calling Forth The Light That Heals (Paperback)
The power of this book is in its simplicity. Human, funny, straight and to the point-- this book heals and inspires without preaching or using a spiritual Band-aid of any kind. Mr. Glass has written a book that inspires, challenges, and ultimately proves that love and faith is the greatest healer of all. An absolute must read!

Invocations by Jacob Glass,

This review is from: Invocations: Calling Forth The Light That Heals (Paperback)
We are both inspired, moved and totally captured by this beautiful book of prayers. Jacob is very gifted especially given his childhood and growing up period and, on his own, picking up his life and moving on to what he has become today,a lecturer with lots of laughter and now an author! We are both very thankful to have Invocations in our daily lives and to be able to be in his presence weekly in Santa Barbara. This is a book to inspire all people and a must in your library at home.

Jacob's book is very inspiring in a world that is so caught up in the fast pace of time(ie. celestial speed up). We regularly forget to focus on what is most imperative to our lives....prayer.

This is the type of book that becomes a staple on one's journey--the sort of dog-eared, much loved volume kept close at hand on the nightstand. Jacob's words articulate feelings and emotions in a way that gives universal comfort on a cellular level. I am particularly fond of his grace at keeping his prayers non-denominational and therefore accessible to all. Prayers have never sounded so poetic and expressed so much!

A Beautiful Work Of The Heart,
This review is from: Invocations: Calling Forth The Light That Heals (Paperback)
Jacob Glass continues to amaze me in the most wonderful way. Here I see a gentleman who has gone through many of the same fears and insecurities that I have, yet through his faith in a most loving Father / Mother, continues to rise above them. He is a true inspiration in helping me and many to remember that with God, nothing is impossible. I am most grateful to have had the opportunity to meet Jacob, and I highly recommend this book to all who are searching for life's answers. His prayers are a gift from above.

Spiritual Guidence for regular people,
By Kelly Frechette Lee (Santa Barbara, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Invocations: Calling Forth The Light That Heals (Paperback)
What I love about Invocations is the Author's exceptional ability to address my issues & my life, in his discussions and conversations about prayer. So often, books that are meant to guide leave me feeling bad about myself. This book does the opposite - I found myself nodding my head in agreement, feeling so understood and excited about changing my thought process and moving toward the light from page one. Mr. Glass is an insightful leader and a compasionate teacher. He speaks from his life and his heart and not from some idealistic podium. His advice leads me directly to a closer relationship with my spirituality and to kinder ways of thinking. A gift and a treasure!

A PRAYER ANSWERED,
By
This review is from: Invocations: Calling Forth The Light That Heals (Paperback)
Jacob's book is one of the best tools I have found for deepening my prayer life and exploring that beautiful yet oh-so illusive connection with the divine. "Invocations" is a must read for all "A Course in Miracles" students and for anyone who really wants to develop a meaningful prayer life.

I loved this book! The author not only discusses the value of prayers and includes a wide of variety of prayers, he also encourages the reader to form a personal mission statement and leaves a few blank pages to complete the exercises. I was motivated to begin creating my own prayers and in making "daily life" my spiritual practice.
