Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Iomega Zip disks, at 250 MB capacity, make some applications possible that otherwise we would still be without. These disks are compatible with Quik Sync--once you have created a Quik Sync Zip disk, files that you designate on your hard drive are automatically backed up to your Zip disk every time you make a change. You don't have to do anything more than install the software, which is available for free by downloading from the Iomega Web site. Quik Sync won't interrupt anything that you're doing, since it does it all in the background. The software can even keep every version of your files, keeping a running version history of your work.

5.0 out of 5 stars No complaints here., May 20, 2000
This review is from: Iomega 11067 Zip 250 MB Disks Mac Formatted (4-Pack) (Electronics)
Great for backing up those important files. It is also much faster than a cd-writer and its easier to erase files than a cd-writer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Iomega disks, what a joke..., November 30, 2002
This review is from: Iomega 11067 Zip 250 MB Disks Mac Formatted (4-Pack) (Electronics)
Iomega disks have to be the worst form of storage media ever created. They are easily corruptable. I can't tell you the number of disks I've had to throw away because they have died on me. They've destroyed projects that I've saved on them. Projects that were unretrievable because all of a sudden the disk cannot be read by the computer or even worse freezes the computer.
On top of all this, Iomega disks are way too expensive for being such a bad product. I even had to ask an Iomega technician what I was doing wrong. After going over possible scenerios of what I've might of done, we both concluded it wasn't me but indeed there was something wrong with the disks.

My advice is to stay away from Iomega disks and all other Iomega products and go with CD-RW disks of any brand. They store more info, are much cheaper and are much more reliable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Older Technology, Gotta Keep Up!, November 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Iomega 11067 Zip 250 MB Disks Mac Formatted (4-Pack) (Electronics)
For those of us that don't always have to have the latest gadget or the newest technology, older tech is something we proudly hang on to. Any older media reproduction and storage devices are, for some of us, just as valuable today as they were 10, 20, even 40 years ago. Whether the value is practical or sentimental, whether you continue to play LP's or save information to a zip disc. Old tech blazed the way for the new. So yes, I continue to save my valuable information to zip disc. They are practical, reliable, and do exactly what I want them to do. That doesn't mean I do not have my valuable information backed up on an usb stick or in a cloud. But for my day to day working, a zip disc is the perfect storage medium. So as you're listening to your favorite Pink Floyd record, and recording your most adored TV show on VHS, remember if you don't keep up with old technology, it will come back and bite you in the butt when you really need it!
