Native Support for XBox 360 and PlayStation 3
Thanks to a USB 2.0 interface and native support for formats such as MP3, MPEG-4, and JPEG, the Xporter plugs and plays with both the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3. With the Prism Video Converter MX software, additional file formats are also converted into formats that are compatible with the game systems. And with 160 GB of storage, there is plenty of space to keep your music, photos, or videos going well into the night.

Stylish, Compact Design
With stylish green and silver graphics on a black background, the Media Xporter will look right at home with both game consoles. Thanks to a compact size that measures just 2.9 x 0.6 x 5.15 inches (WxHxD) and weighs less than eight ounces, you can easily carry the drive with your music and video files to wherever you are gaming. Since the drive is bus-powered from the USB, you don't need to carry a bulky AC adapter with you. You simply plug it into your game console and you're ready to go.

Once the Xporter is loaded with your media files, it will plug directly into either an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 without the need for a computer. However, to load the drive with your media, you'll need either a PC with Windows 2000 Professional and above with a USB 2.0 connection, or a G3 or above Mac with Mac OS X 10.1 or above with a USB 2.0 connection.

I didn't see any reviews on this product and having owned it for 7 months now I figured I would provide some feedback to any potential buyers. This was a birthday present and I am not sure what the price was at that time but it has gone down quite a bit since then. My main purpose in asking for this component was to have a portable hard drive that I could use for my Playstation 3 since that drive is only 60GB and fills up rather quickly with all the demos and videos I download. I use this hard drive mostly to transfer movies on it from my PC so I can watch them on my TV through the PS3 (in DivX format). So far I have not had any issues with it and it works great everytime I plug it in. A green light comes on when it receives power so you know when it is on. The noise from the hard drive itself is not loud and it makes a beeping sound to let you know if it is not connected properly. Although the price has come down on external drives and one with a larger capacity can be found, I couldn't be more satisfied with this one. Eventually I will replace it with a bigger one, but have yet to fill it up. The transfer rate to me seems very quick and I use it with Windows Vista, which has not presented any issues. The drive is very small, thin, lightweight, and easily fits in your pocket. A USB cord is included which allows connection between the drive and two devices, which I thought was nice. There is no pre-installed software that I wouldn't use anyway; as most companies are starting to include this with their products now. As I mentioned, I am completly satisfied with this product and have been familair with Iomega products for a while. Thanks!
