I would give this case 5 stars if the lid was attached insted of having to remove it every time you open the case, But, this would alow you to leave the case on a table and draw from if you listen to music frequently. Then put the lid on for storage. The case is very heavy with the Cd,s in it so It is not some thing you would like to take from the room you are using it in. Also there are no slots which means you have to mostly fill the case so the CD,s dont flop over. But , It looks very sharp and very durable .

I use a Odyssey case like this more for organizing the cd's I use when I have a spot to DJ. That's really it. It's really made more for DJing in mind. I don't think the way the first reviewer used it is what it was designed for - I never use it for regular, casual storage.Having said that, it's a good case. It's designed to look like the Odyssey, Eurolite or Numark record cases, only it's a bit longer than them. Comes with a set of keys to lock your cd's in it, like Odyssey's does. I like it, to be honest. It's durable. The top's a dead give-away for it's intention - you can take it off and set it to the side for easy access to the tunes. The bad? Well, I don't think this one has the dividers and I'm not sure of the carpet material. I'd also get nervous that the keys (which are super thin) will break. And... well, depending on how much material you move (tables, cdjs, record crates/carriers, etc.) it might be just something else to lug. But It's a good case - although I recommend the Odyssey case instead. Keeps me a few steps ahead & organized & it's where I store the 'gig' tunes that I'll never casually listen to. But if you get it for casual usage, you might be pretty disappointed. Otherwise it's a good case that might just need an upgrade in the durability of the lock/key should you decide to use it. The case shuts with regular clips like the Numarks, etc. |
