This is a crossover. That means that while it isn't a Technics turntable, it isn't a raging ghetto blaster either. I'm new to te whole mixing thing, and I find it straightforward and easy to use, so I recommend it to anyone who wants to pretend they're Pete Rock. However, it won't get you any where if you're serious about DJing. It isn't very loud, but you can plug it in to larger speakers. This Boombox is a good gift idea for a teenager that likes music. It's fun, and that's about it. My only real problem with it is that the right player skips, so we'll see if I can sort that out.

I got this DJ system for my son (13) for christmas and it worked for about one day and then there was no sound at all. Even turning all the volumes up did not help.

And trust we read everything before even turnng it on.

What a rip off!

I make a living as a DJ, performing up to 8 jobs per week in NYC.

This portable DJ station is very simple to use and it gives a HQ sound thru my Bose PA. I lower the treble some, and raise the bass a bit

so it doesn't sound tweeeky. Everything is contained in the unit.

It doesn't need any assemble or set up. It does not play MP3 format discs,

but standard audio discs have much fuller sound, anyhow.

It has 3 different output jacks which come in handy.

Mic input is convenient as well as caring handle. I carry the unit in a larger bag along with my CDs.

It's worth paying $200 for it's usefullnes. Some stores sell it for $300, which is too much. I got it thru Amazon new, for exceptional value of $70.

I couldn't be happier about it.

This is a good pruduct it is good for someone who want to learn music. It is easy to work.

I purchased this for my nephew. He is a young tween.I thought it would be a great device for a kid to twiddle around on and not spend a lot of money on something that just sits there. I will say that he really likes and plays with all the time. I think its great if your kids are interested in music or for dj. I do not think this is great for a serious dj but fun for a kid.

Have used for approx 7 1/2 yrs with HS and MS choirs and sound effects for dramas. Great tool for the price. It is wearing out but was worth the investment. Wish I could find a comparable replacement.

Either it was broken in shipping or it was defective from the start. It never worked and considering it's supposed to be portable, it was obvious that it's not very rugged. Buyer Beware.

I got this boom box because am too lazy to stand up and mix some days.

I can sit in my chair and bring it over to my parents and terrorize them.
my boom box worked perfix and i am ejoying it right now.
It has never skiped once...BUT THE FADER AND VOLUME CONTROLLS ARE JUNKY with the fader the other way it can be heard sometimes , you have to tap the line level slider to get the sound on and off..soo thats 3 level line silders that are junky! this unit is for fun not dj club use too junky!

I return it the next day. It didn't work, the sound was not clear at all. Save you money the sale is not a sale if the product don't work.
