Good cymbal for crash,

This review is from: Ion Cymbal for IED01 and IED04 (Electronics)
I purchased this cymbal to use on my Ion IED12 Pro Session Drums set that I bought from Costco. It works great for crash cymbal compared to the two cymbals that came with the set. It comes with the 3.5mm (Mini) female which needs to be converted to 1/4-inch one. The space underneath the cymbal doesn't fit the Mini-to-1/4 connector and the male 1/4 from the controller. Therefore, I've to buy the Mini cable extension to avoid the limited space. Overall, it works perfectly with the unit.

I got this for my ION IED12 PRO SESSION Electronic Drum Set and it works well. Not extremely sensitive and isn't really good for melow and light cymbal work, but it works just fine as a crash or a splash... as long and you whack the trigger... very light tapping doesn't really pick up at all, medium tapping can be registered well enough and of course hard tapping works well to. I seen the other guys post that reviewed about this for his IED12 Pro Session kit also give this product 3 stars as well. Probably because of the sensitivity and the 3.5mm input this cymbal trigger had on the underside that you will need one of these Planet Waves - Audio adapter - mini-phone mono 3.5 mm (M) - phone stereo 6.3 mm (F) to connect this trigger with a 1/4" plug.

I bought as couple of these for my ION, they're not so sensitive so I have to beat them a little hard in order to make'em work. The top screw seems to losen up a lot.
