Add cards to a grid, making sure that color, shape and number are either all the same or all different across the line. Sounds easy but as the grid expands, so do the possibilities. Whoever sees the opportunities will seize the win. Iota - the pocket-sized game that's big time fun.

We are big players of Mensa games and bought this big game in a teeny box as it was in the recommended list of play
When i played the game with my 2 teenagers, we enjoyed it and realised that there were alot of possibilities but when we played it a second time, it was not as good. The kids thought it was nice as they could carry the small box with them for school camps etc

This game is a ton of fun! If you like puzzle/strategy games I would definitely recommend this! It's a game that 2 people could play so my wife and I love to play it! It takes a little bit to understand the rules, but once you do it's easy. I would definitely recommend it.

We bought this on vacation and we have been pleasantly surprised by how much we are enjoying it. We are a family of 7 (ages 8-46), but we still can finish a game in about 20 minutes if we don't keep score. We like that we can keep score or play until someone has played all their cards and they are the winner. We like how many ways the cards can be placed and the different patterns that end up on the table once we are finished. We haven't found this game too difficult at all, but there is strategy you can employ for high points. I got 96 points once in one hand played!

This is now one of our top games played on our Tuesday game nights or when we travel.

We play this at lunch and the most common words uttered are "Ok, wait, darn it". You think you have a killer hands that will score a ton of points. You organize the cards in our hand and just as you are about to drop them on the table, you see that red square that you did not notice. So far everyone who plays this game just loves it. I plan on getting a few for stocking stuffers. You need a large table for this game. Even though the box can fit comfortably into your pocket the card structure grows as the game progresses. In our last game we had to move another cafe table over so we could expand onto it.

This is not a light game, it requires brain cells. Good fun though. I bought 5 and have given away two already. Our friends love it. Good change from mexican train.

This is the smallest game I have ever played by far but it is a LOT of fun. Add cards to a grid but make sure the color, shape and number are all the same or all different in the line. Easy right? Not so much. Sure at first it might be but later when you have tons of grids…its quickest eye wins.

My husband and I may have found our new favorite pattern card type game in iota. It is portable, requires thinking and concentration (which means we can’t play much with our kids around) and is a lot of fun. We win about the same amount of the time because of the luck of the cards so we really like this game.

It is seriously so small I almost lost it once or twice. Great for traveling around with us which is nice but make sure you remember where you keep it stored while taking it with you. The cards themselves are just like playing cards but squared…and smaller. The tin is a standard tin material that can dent somewhat easily but doesn’t get destroyed or damaged very much which is nice. Despite almost losing it I do love the convenient size.

This is a wonderful pocket-sized game. I came across it after seeing Qwirkle on TableTop and pounced on it as a more portable option, particularly since it's so cheap. I usually describe the game as "symbolic Scrabble", although for those familiar with it, "'Set', in reverse" also works. Indeed, you can play a version of "Set" using a 4x4 grid of these cards just fine! Note that for regular game play you will need a surprisingly large amount of space, I'd recommend at least a square meter/yard.

Our family loves to play games. One of our favorites is Quirkle. This game is very similar but it ups the anti by layering 3 levels of matching instead of 2. This game is also small enough to fit in a pocket or in the glovebox of the car to keepkids entertained during unexpected waits.
