An interesting collection of mostly first-person accounts of Iowa's participation in the Civil War. The organization of the book is ad-hoc and it doesn't have an index, but the table of contents guides you through the book adequately. I particularly enjoyed the accounts of the experiences of Iowa cavalrymen.
