5.0 out of 5 stars eerie and forbidding, May 30, 2000

This review is from: Ipcress File (Audio CD)
i first saw this movie years ago and didn;t pay much attention to the soundtrack. watched it again recently and was stunned to realize how good it was. john barry composed it around the same time he was doing all those james bond films, but i like this better. very jazzy, with repeated themes throughout, but never repetitive. favourite tracks are the main title and "meeting with grantby and fight". a perfect late-night listening experience, evoking dark and sinister feelings as well as less forbidding ones. very highly recommended.
