The replacement took me about 2.5 hours. I simply followed the instructions found on YouTube, and it made it easy as pie. The screen looks just like a new one, and was packaged well, with peel of screen protectors which made it very easy to keep from getting finger prints on the screen. I was not able to get the old screen off without destroying the very thin rubber seal which went around it. I put the new screen on without it. I put the Iphone in one of those silicon protective cases which cover that part now, and have the clear screen protectors so I am not worried about not having the black seal around it. Total cost was about $45.00 and 2.5 hours of work, which is much better than paying Apple $199.00.

This worked great. I found a great video on youtube for the instructions ([..]). The one thing that took a bit of hunting was the mounting bracket, as this is JUST the LCD screen. Turns out you can pry off the old LCD screen and reuse the mounting bracket, it's fairly simple. Which makes this product a great deal at $26 (compared to the $200 Apple wanted to charge).

I was able to completely replace my LCD screen with this product, a jewelry screwdriver (Philips) and the thin edge of a nail clipper (though I'd recommend a better prying tool).

This item came as advertised. I really like the fact that it came attached to the frame so all I had to do was plug it in and reassemble the phone.

My order was delivered at virtually no time (9 working days from TX, USA to Greece).
The packaging was not satisfactory, considering the sensitivity of the package content, however luckily it arrived safe and sound.
It took me less than an hour to replace the broken LCD, since this was my second iPhone successive "operation" (during the first one I only replaced the front glass).
I was not able to remove the old (broken) LCD without bending it, thus expanding the damaged area of it. However the installation of the new one was smooth and easy. With the two crosswise corner guides and the two thin silicon adhesive stripes (after removing the protective thin film at the back) at the sides of the display you can't go wrong.
In no time I was able to turn on my iPhone and it was functioning perfectly. The only problem is that the new screen lucks in contrast compared to the original. A friend of mine found this (lack of contrast) better than the original, but I prefer vivid black.
I searched and found that there is not way to fix/adjust the contrast/hue/gamma of iPhone's screen and that there are three manufacturers of iPhone LCD screens, each with its own advantages and drawbacks, so I guess I'll have to live with my new screen...
Finally, I consider the price as absolutely reasonable (if not cheap) at 34.6 euros (including post costs) compared to the 190 euros needed by 3rd party technicians to do the replacement.

When i had gotten the package first of all the box it was delivered in was way to big for the fragile lcd screen that it contained. When opening the box there wasnt much protection, and when i finally got to the product the screen was broken.

Perfect quality replacement LCD/ backlight, complete with protective films. Easier to fit than expected- the glue that attaches the LCD to the metal carrier plate is only strips at either side, not all over as I'd feared, making removal of the old screen much easier.

Recieved it in good shape. Installed it and it didnt work. I guess its a gamble. Bought another one from another vendor and worked perfectly.

The quality of this LCD is terrible, it looks washed out and the colors are horrible, white looks yellow, black is grey, etc...

I ordered a housing and other parts from other retailers and this was the least protected part I received, all other were in a rigid container (whether it was cardboard or plastic), this LCD was shipped in a padded envelope, I'm surprised it didnt get here in pieces.

it works just for a replacement lets say before you can buy another phone. there is some problems with the button that ends calls on the screen and its NOT for IPHONE 3GS.

I purchased one of these to fix my iPhone 3G. It did come quickly...about 2-3 days after I ordered it. But the back light didn't work, and it takes too long for them to send out a new one in time. (I actually didn't even receive a new one still.)
I don't recommend this seller because after service isn't good, and the products themselves aren't what you would expect.
