This screen is the same type of high def screen that the iPhone 4 comes with. You cant see pixels. It's the same.
If you compare it to an iPhone screen you can see that the whites are slightly different but you can't tell if you just look at the phone by itself.
The glass seems the same to me. I see reviews that say their is a different feel to the glass. I held both in my hands and I can't see much of a difference. I can't feel much of a difference. I was worried their would be. Don't worry about it.
This is a great price and a perfect replacement. Buy it. It looks and feels perfect. I'm very happy with it.
The replacement is easy if you use the youtube video and use a magnetic tray that you draw on. There are 7 or 8 different types of screws. Make it easy on yourself to know where they go. I drew a large version of the phone and placed the screws where I found them in the phone. Made it easy.

I did about 3 hours of research on iPhone 4 replacement screens. What I learned.
- Don't buy a touch screen only. It wont work. You need the screen and lcd display.
- Nobody has a OEM screen. Their are close copies but if you want an Apple screen you need to return you screen to Apple. This screen is the same as you will get from the video making websites that sell them for $100
- Some screens out there have plastic screens. They scratch. Don't buy them.
- When they changed the screw in the bottom of the iphone they didn't send the correct screw driver for a while. They send the correct screw driver now.
- Many people don't know that you need to use the phone speaker screen that your phone comes with. This screen doesn't come with one because you already have one.

This item arrived quickly and went together ok but there were three serious issues I experienced:

1.) Unit had no instructions--which is fine because I followed a Youtube video; however, it would have been helpful if a note/link to the exact Youtube video was included as described below.

2.) Unit DOESN'T come with a wire mesh piece that attaches underneath the front glass plate (where you put your ear). Consequently I now have a hole in the face of my iPhone through which i can see the inside circuitboard, etc. At this point, I shouldn't use my iphone at the gym or in the rain because water can enter the phone. I started to repair this by taking it apart to use the grill from my old cracked glass, but I stripped the screws holding the glass to the steel outer casing with the provided screwdriver and could not get it apart again.

3.) Company provided all the necessary tools; however, the task would have been an order of magnitude easier with a MAGNETIC phillips head screwdriver since the screws holding the innards of the iphone 4 together are tiny, to say the least.

I WOULD buy this again, but I would make sure to find a Youtube video showing assembly/dissasembly specifically for "buyiparts" and I would purchase my own micro sized MAGNETIC "watch repair" screwdriver.

Something is different with the finish on this screen... It seems to be missing the oleophobic coating since it collects more fingerprints and oil than the original. Not a deal breaker at this price point, but something to keep in mind.

This assembly is a perfect replacement in every way. No issues with fitting or picture quality. I did some side-by-side comparisons with another iPhone 4 screen and absolutely nothing is different. I'd venture a guess and say that this part is actually OEM.

No instructions come bundled, but pull up a helpful youtube video and follow along.

The process is quite tedious, but with patience and a clean workbench, you should be fine.

The ONLY problem DYIers may run into is that newer iPhones have two slightly different screw heads at the bottom of the phone. If you have the strange dimpled star type heads (vs '+' philips), you'll need to find that tool elsewhere. For the price, though, this part is definitely worth it. I have absolutely no complaints.

Last note: DO NOT forget to transfer your speaker grill mesh once you have the old screen out. It does not affect functionality after assembly, but if you forget it, you'll have shiny metal bits staring at you through the earpiece. It's not worth pulling your phone apart again to put it in, but it leaves your phone slightly less than perfect (though, a broken screen is probably 100x worse).

I own a small electronics repair business, and focus largely on smartphone repair. I order thousands of dollars a month in parts for phones and laptops, so I see a lot product through my office.
These are easily the worst screens I've seen. I order 6 of them at the same time and I had issues each one. It's natural that aftermarket screens won't fit as well as the original Apple screen, that is expected, but these are usable for me. First, they are too thick, forcing me to use a filler under the home button to bring it to screen level, second, the margins around the screen are off, covering the entire aluminium casing. Third, the plastic bezel surrounding the glass digitizer isn't properly adhered to the glass causing it to come loose and prevent the digitizer from seating to the case well.
In addition to the build of these parts, several of the screens didn't work at all. One had a bad LCD and another had a cut ribbon cable. There are several other options for this screen from other sellers that are much better quality and about the same price. I for one, will never buy a product from this seller again if I can avoid it.

a good screen and tool kit. it has everything you need to replace the phone screen. however, the screen is missing the metal mesh cover for the ear/phone voice out port (next to the front camera). it's not a big deal, it's more of a cosmetic thing than anything.

Where the heck is the rest of the digitizer? ALL I GOT WAS THE GLASS! fed up with crappy products, off to apple I got to pay for a new screen!

Don't waste your time, and money, iphone 4 replacement @ Apple store outside of warranty is $149 + Tax. at least for me it was.

This screen is an amazing screen, i would give the screen itself 5 stars, i didn't notice any resolution changes like some people claim.BUT..
The reason i'm only giving this product 3 stars is because first off, the tools that come with it were incomplete and useless, the screwdriver needed to take the inside screws off was not shipped with the screen and this drove me crazy! I had to go out and by my own screwdrivers and unfortunantly I could0n't find any magnetic ones so putting the phone back together was hell!MAKE SURE YOU HAVE MAGNETIC SCREWDRIVERS! Also another reason i'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the lack of instructions, yes i know there are youtube videos out there but still some instructions would be nice or a screw chart. Took me about 3 hours to get this whole thing on and working.
My recommendations would be :
1. be very organized, seperate the screws, write everything down
2. watch youtube tutorials first
3. GET MAGNETIC SCREWDRIVERS!! (PHILLIPS #00 & PHILLIPS #000)

Im a 23 year old Female and i had never done anything like this before. You can do it.

After a very diligent and tedious installation, the screen did not work. To make matters worse, the pentalobe screwdriver included with this set is of such poor quality that it stripped down to a fine circle when replacing the cover screws. Not only do I not have a working screen, now I'm stuck with ordering a new set of screwdrivers in order to install a new screen. I contacted the retailer asking for a replacement set to be able to remove my screen but they would only exchange if the screen was returned, thus making exchange impossible in my case. This product is not worth your time or money, it is complete garbage.

Sorry to tell that the screen is very bad resolution. It is very much differnt. finally, it is not Iphone 4 resolution anymore.

The set is supposed to come with 6 pieces. the star key, which is critical to open the iPhone is missing. No instructions. AAARRRGGGHHHHH! Please make sure to send what you promise to customers. Either send me what is missing or I want my money back.
